Donald Trump told a crowd of 12,000 or more in Charleston, West Virginia, that coal miners better get ready because, "You are going to be working your asses off." Trump made the statement to contrast his view that America's coal mines can and should be operational to that of Hillary Clinton, who is facing blowback in West Virginia for promising to shut the mines.

With more than 100 miners and others from the coal industry standing behind him in Charleston, the presumptive Republican nominee told West Virginians that Clinton was not their friend.

"And how about Hillary Clinton?" Trump said. "I was watching her three or four weeks ago. See, I'm going to put the miners back to work and she said, 'I'm going to put the miners and the mines out of business.' And then she comes over and she tried to explain her statement. That's a tough one to explain, wouldn't you say?"

The West Virginia primary is slated for next Tuesday but with Trump the only candidate left, he told supporters to save their vote for the general election and forget about the primary.
