'He is another Hitler': Anne Frank's stepsister who survived Auschwitz compares Donald Trump to Nazi dictator

She accuses GOP front-runner of 'inciting racism'

Anne Frank's stepsister who survived Auschwitz has compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler.

Eva Schloss, now aged 86, met Anne in Amsterdam where both their families took refuge after fleeing from Nazi Germany. After the war, Eva's mother Fritzi married Anne's father Otto Frank.

Now, in an interview to mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Schloss has reflected on the traumatic period - and she sees little difference between Hitler's rhetoric and that of aspiring president Donald Trump.

'If Donald Trump become[s] the next president of the US it would be a complete disaster. I think he is acting like another Hitler by inciting racism,' Schloss told Newsweek.

Anne Frank was 15 when she died at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp in March 1945.

Schloss, the co-founder of Anne Frank Trust UK, was detained at the same time and sent to Auschwitz. She survived and now lives in London.

She also takes aim at America for resisting calls to take more refugees from Syria - comparing the migrant crisis to her own experience during the Holocaust.

Trump has been vocal about his beliefs that America should place a ban on Muslims entering the country, and vows he would implement such a ban if he were to be elected president.

He also vows to build a wall along the Mexican border. In his bid to promote this idea, he released a campaign video using footage of a war zone in Morocco.

Pointing to America, Schloss says: 'If countries as big as the U.S. and Canada would take in more people, then we would get much closer to a solution.'

She adds: 'The situation today is worse than it was under Hitler because at that time all the Allies—the U.S., Russia and Britain—worked together to combat the terrible threat of Nazisim. If we don't work together, the world will never be able to resolve the threats it faces today.'

Her words come as Trump heads for the crucial Iowa caucus, which could make or break his run for the Republican nomination.

The controversial real estate mogul has come under fire for his comments about immigrants, his vows to ban Muslims from entering the United States, and to build a wall on the Mexican border 'that Mexico will pay for'.

Despite uproar, he has sat firmly at the top of the polls, floating from controversy to controversy with ease.

I'm sorry that Eva Schloss had to endure and survive a death camp, but these comments about Donald Trump are utterly dispicable and just another sign of how badly Hitler's legacy is being abused on a regular basis.

These nut jobs continue to compare any white person that would defend their nation and communities against invasion to Hitler and Nazis.

Has she forgotten that the Islamic nations fought on the side of Germany in both WW1 and WW2??

Comparing Donald Trump to Hitler is disgraceful!

You have your own Syrian refugee and Islamic migrant problems destroying Europe and
you would be better serving your citizens focusing on your own backyard.

Just for a moment, imagine if one of your own Islamic migrant, Syrian refugee or Isis operative was successful in gaining control
of your government......... an infidel hating Islamic Regime would by far surpass the evil of Hitler and Nazi Regime.

This would be terrifying!!!

Footnote: The thread article is Daily Mall UK, and the woman lives in London, a British subject. I just have to repeat that it's a sad day in our relations with Great Britain that when they interfere in our politics and compare one of our leading candidates for office to Hitler, they obviously have short memories who saved them during WWII from Hitler, and given that, perhaps we'll just mind our own business next time.

Our War with Japan had nothing to do with the War in Europe. We could have taken out Japan and left Europe to the Nazis. The British might take heed to remember that. All these attacks against Trump from Europe over a bunch of jihadist Muslims, is wearing very thin.

What about the American Holocaust of all the thousands of American citizens that are being slaughtered by illegal aliens and refugees each year? Why is Eva Schloss fighting on the side of invaders that rape, injure, and kill?

What about the 20 million Russians who died in WWII fighting Hitler? Many of these Russians froze or starved to death in the long foot marches fighting the Germans. Her family wasn't the only family to suffer horrible situations in WWII. The Jews forget about that seems to me. They also never mention the 20 million Chinese who died horrible deaths in Japanese camps worst than the Germans. When the slaves were exhausted and couldn't work any more they sprayed gasoline on them and burned them alive.

A Jew once again is not safe in the now muslim Germany & mostly all the other EU countries - how does she like that?

As one survivor noted of Trump, "I don't want to make any comparison to Hitler, but believe it or not his delivery and the way he conducts himself is very similar to Hitler's way of doing things. He discredits everybody who disagrees with him. He's insulting. He discriminates against everybody":
