I was not going to post again

I am doing a job in Driggs Idaho . I stopped this morning at a mini mart to get smokes before I went to work. The place was packed Not many in the store could speak English. I stood there for 10 minutes waiting for them to get what they wanted Poor Girl behind the counter could not understand what they wanted. I tried to stand there and seem dumb and ignore. Finally I told the cleark what they wanted and they were served. I then asked in Spanish if they coukd speak English?? The response was NO. So I asked why in Spanish and they said they don't have to.. No reason given when i asked Why..

Mad as Heck with the Idaho Rep's and will continue to make my presence known.

My Senators in FL are so Pro-Illegal , i'm surprised they don't pour the coffee for the Illegals in the Mini-Marts

I read the CDA Press online every few days. I note that most of the insulting comments are primarily about what some call "Calis". That means me cause that's where I live now.

I spent years living in CDA and only left due to being unable to support myself with my hours being cut in the building supply field. When I left Duane Hagadone's hotel was new and CDA still had it's original flavor.

I can promise you this, with CDA now being a typical tourist destination and a haven for retired Californians, the citizens will be tripping over illegals before they know it. They will work cheaper than the students in fast food places, motels and on landscape jobs.

I see very few comments regarding non-english speakers in the CDA Press, please let your friends and co-workers know they had better get their Senators on board before it's too late. Larry Craig is holding hands with Diane Feinstein as we speak to push through the ammendment for farm workers to show up with their families for at least five years.

    Idaho needs some serious help.

Alleycat, rest assured there are some of us here in CDA who are working diligently with our lawmakers and we're pretty sure we'll have a bill come this January. It's getting pretty bad here. Someone set up a Mexican snack shack right across the road from me, and Monday I'm going to call the Health Department to see if they even have a license to have it there. So far, all I've seen are Latinos inhabiting the place, although I can't say if they are illegal or not. Also, I read where Canyon County Jail has 73 illegal aliens on immigration hold, but ICE refuses to come pick them up. We are not going to sit back and wait until this beautiful place turns into another California. Larry Craig doesn't know what he is up against if he goes against the will of the Idahoans. We also need to boot Governor Otter out of office. He's making it clear that he is for cheap labor, and not for what's best for Idaho.

Wow! They are truly everywhere. I thought Idaho had few if any illegals running around there.

There is not a segment of our society that is not infected with these criminals.... THIS IS THE GOVERNMENTS PLAN. They want to fill our country with people that rely on them. And in the process make us ALL dependent on the goverment.

Our government is out of control.... AND IT WILL NOT STOP....

Wake up people, it is time for ACTION!

No, Idaho is not exempt from illegals. We're a big Ag state, and with other states clamping down, they are flocking into our state.

I travel daily to one of the TN counties with the highest unemployment rate and around the southern middle TN area. Illegals are so numerous in this county that the local grocery has Spanish magazines. The little town only has one stoplight, but they have a lumber business tucked away from view. This lumber company is a large company and my grandfather help start it back in the 30's. They operated all these years with local labor but within the last 5-6 years, hispanics have moved in and taken the jobs for minimum wage or less.

In every little nook and cranny of the country, no matter how small or how high the unemployment rate is, you will find them sucking up all the typical jobs. They pick up trash on the interstate......obviously working for a state contractor. Heavy equipment operators have really suffered. One man lost his job because it was given to a Hispanic for HALF the LOWEST going rate. What about SAFETY??

Local TRAFFIC report almost everyday......"There is an accident at the intersection of Elm and Oak and the driver took off running." I've seen vans with so many ladders stacked up, I wonder WHY the cops didn't stop them before they killed somebody. Ladders are always falling off.

They will work for WHATEVER they can get. American people have worked in their profession, such as contracting and built up a nice business over many years. All of a sudden, the business dries up.......illegal employers are underbidding by so much, it's pitiful. Years of work going down the tube. Goodbye American Dream for a lot of people who have been shoved back 20 years of advancement in their business, who have to decide to work for slave wages or do something else.

This is the attitude of the illegals in this country. They don't feel like they have to do anything, especially when it comes to obeying our laws. They push right into our country without permission, then they push the Americans right out of their jobs, schools, homes, and neighborhoods. And we're going to keep pushing back.

Coeur d'Alene is practically all english speaking but you are right if we don't fight it they will come...The man that mows my lawn was telling me a landscaping company in town hired some spanish speaking people and had to fire them because his customers were pissed

I know there are a few working on a construction site down town.

and a few working in the Mexican restraunts. It is not bad yet but this is only the begginning ...I know how it starts, I was born and raised in California, my husband and I left there in 1980 so I have seen the out come.

Tiny you didn't tell me about the little taco stand across the street from your place.

although went to farmers market today and there was one there but the guy spoke english just as well a me, and seemed pretty American. But I think these little carts are against the law unless at a place like the fair or famers market.
