Calif. Letter: Quit Spending On Immigrants

    Quit spending on immigrants

I have read several letters to the editor that have boiled my fourth-generation blood.

The vet who was turned away from the medical center in Santa Maria when he was suffering from kidney stones. The letter regarding the Pioneer High students protesting in front of City Hall, waving Mexican flags and chanting “Mexico, Mexico.â€

Vortex; I agree and in South Florida it is starting big time. Many people are afraid that the state will become another California.

Every state that I have heard of with large deficets could wipe out 50_65% of it by ending all services to illegal aliens. It is time for the border states tostand up with the southern statesand intellegent people in all the other states and send a message to Washington."WE ARE FED UP AND P.O. AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE." the poll numbers are good right now it is time to strike.

Santa Maria does have activists working against illegal immigration. Their efforts were successful in having me add Santa Maria to the OJJPAC Sanctuary Cities List relatively recently.

I agree that immigrants (legal) should be self-sufficient and not be a burden on tax payers. Illegal aliens should be removed in a timely manner.

The government's power to tax should be a power used sparingly and only as a last resort.

    My immigration story

My father was born in Los Angeles of naturalized Japanese parents. He was sent to prison camp in AZ during WWII.

He volunteered for the Korean War, US Air Force. He met my mom, Japanese. She was required to read and speak English before she could be naturalized. She got her US Citizenship and it was a big deal for the family.

I was born in Japan but on a US Air Force base - so I had dual citizenship.

I was not eligible for Selective Service during Vietnam War, because I had a dual citizen exemption.

I formally renounced my Japanese citizenship at 17 years old to make myself eligible for the draft - I was not going to be accused of split loyalties - I'm a freaking American and proud of it.

It's too bad it seems Mexicans and other Central Americans would rather be "owed" something versus being proud of something.

Thank you - coincidence oath of office

Thanks for welcome. Ironic that you mention the oath of office in your signature.

I myself was elected to a minor office in California once. I had to take an Oath to "uphold the laws of this land and support the Constitution of US from enemies both domestic and foreign"

Its an Oath local, state and federal elected officials take. Obviously, they give comfort to enemies within and do not support the laws of the land.

Why can't that in itself be cause to start impeaching them from office?

The quote in my sig is from a man named Chuck Baldwin. He was a third party candidate for POTUS with the Consitution party that I was proud to vote for this last election season.

I often wonder how different things would have been with him in office.
