On Tuesday evening an email hit my inbox. The email was from the wife of Joe Arpaio, who is also known as Sheriff Joe of Arizona.
The email was sent to my personal email, but it was part of a much bigger email blast.
A hard-nosed law man for 60 years, Joe Arpaio was America’s toughest sheriff. He fought illegal immigration in a way that ruffled the feathers of the Left. This is why the Department of Justice under Loretta Lynch attacked Arpaio, who is now 85 years old.
The attack is ongoing even though the Obama administration is long gone. Please read the email for further details:
Dennis Michael Lynch,
Never in a million years could I have dreamed I would ever have to write this letter to you. But I never could have imagined that after over 55 years of serving and protecting America — 31 of those years as a police officer and top official with the US Drug Enforcement Administration around the world, and 24 of those years as Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, my husband of 60 years, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, would be awaiting the verdict in a trial for misdemeanor contempt of court where the holdovers from the Obama Justice Department have asked for a jail sentence of six months!
I know Joe is 100% innocent of these charges.
This case has been politically motivated from the start. The Obama DOJ under Loretta Lynch carefully timed their charges to come out last fall — right before the election — to do maximum political damage to my husband’s re-election campaign.
Well, it worked, and Joe lost.
To defend himself against these biased prosecutors, Joe had to hire the very best lawyers we could find. And, as you can imagine, these lawyers don’t come cheap.
It is going to cost us a staggering amount of money to defend Joe in this case and we must continue to raise money for his defense and ongoing legal expenses.
For over 50 years, I’ve worried night and day about Joe being killed by violent gang members, drug traffickers, or career criminals here at home and around the world.
Now that he is out of office, this should be the time for him to laugh with our two children, enjoy our four grandchildren to the fullest, and to focus on the future.
Instead, he’s focused exclusively on the result of a trial. Worse, he’s scrambling to find the money to pay the lawyers who may be able to keep him free.
So, I’m asking if you can help us keep my husband from being wrongly convicted by making a gift of even $2,500, $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50 or $35 today.
You know, most Americans know Joe as “America’s Toughest Sheriff.” But I know him as a kind, simple and loving man.
During his 24 years as the longest serving Sheriff in Maricopa County, folks have heard about him putting criminals in pink underwear in “tent cities” in the desert, but not very many people know that he also gave shelter to abandoned and endangered cats, dogs and other animals in his jails and had the prisoners care for them and to save them.
That’s the kind of man Joe is.
This man has been a loving husband, father and grandfather. He’s put his life on the line in the U.S. Army, the DEA, as a beat cop in Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas and for the last 24 years as the Sheriff. He’s a hero and a patriot.
If I could ask you for one thing today — along with your prayers — it would be to help keep my husband Joe a free man by supporting the only 501(c)3 non-profit group that has stepped up for Joe — the National Center for Police Defense (NCPD).
The NCPD has set up a special “Sheriff Joe Legal Defense Fund” to help win our court case — and they’ve already contributed over $350,000 to defend Joe.

Any gift you can make, whether it is $2,500, $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50 or $35 will truly make a huge difference and is 100% tax-deductible.With your help and the NCPD’s “Sheriff Joe Legal Defense Fund,” we can ensure the Sheriff has the support he needs.
So please, help with your most generous gift of $2,500, $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50, or $35 today.
I hope and pray to hear from you right away. Thank you and God bless you.
Yours truly,
Mrs. Ava Arpaio
P.S. At 85 years of age, I don’t want Joe to miss any time he can spend with his family and focusing on the future.
Your best gift of $2,500, $1,000, $500, $250, $100, $50 or $35 will help make sure he can. Thank you so much!!
