    Chuck Schumer Calls Other Members of Congress 'Extremists'

    This just came into my email this morning, the bolding is their work not mine! What a piece of crap Chuck Schumer is.

    -----

    Alipac,

    For the first time in three decades, we have the chance to pass truly comprehensive immigration reform and finally fix our broken system.
    Together, as a part of the bipartisan "Gang of Eight," I have introduced a bill to fix our broken immigration system: The Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act.
    We've worked hard to write a bill that we believe can pass the Senate. But when it comes to immigration reform, nothing is certain.
    The anti-immigration extremists are going to come out in force, both the ones inside and outside of Congress. We're doing everything we can in Washington to make sure the opposition doesn't squash this reform bill like the others.
    That's why I'm joining with 11 other U.S. Senators to stand up for this comprehensive immigration reform bill. But we can't do it alone. We need you to help us show a groundswell of support for reform that our opponents can't deny.
    Click here to become a citizen co-sponsor of our bipartisan bill to reform our immigration system!
    Our legislation will provide credible ways for undocumented immigrants to apply for legalization and citizenship, to keep families together, and to protect American workers. This act will make crucial, historic changes to our immigration system by:

    • Putting hard-working young people eligible for the DREAM Act on a fast-tracked path to citizenship;
    • Allowing otherwise law-abiding undocumented immigrants to apply for a legal provisional status;
    • Reducing family separation and eliminating the immigration backlog;
    • Requiring higher wages for temporary foreign workers, ensuring American workers are not undercut;
    • Incentivizing foreign entrepreneurs with "start-up visas" so they invest in America and build their companies here;
    • Securing the border by strengthening surveillance along high-risk areas;
    • Helping American companies find workers for hard-to-fill positions, like elder care-giving, with the new W-visa program.

    Business, labor, faith, and law-enforcement leaders all know we must act now to fix our broken immigration system -- but powerful forces content with the status quo are still lining up to stop us.
    Unfortunately, our opponents don't agree, and they're dead set on blocking any reforms. In the past, they've won. We need to show them we won't be stopped this time.
    Will you join 12 U.S. Senators and become a citizen co-sponsor of our bipartisan bill to reform our immigration system?
    This bill is a responsible, humane, and enduring solution to the problem of the millions who are here illegally, while continuing to attract the most skilled talent the world has to offer. But it will only work if it passes -- and for that, we need your help.
    Sincerely,
    Chuck Schumer
    U.S. Senator

    In my opinion, chuck Schumer is the extremist. He is trying to devalue American citizenship on behalf of illegal foreign nationals.
