Always ask this !!!!

When you go out to dinner and see immigrant workers in the kitchens and cleaning tables; never fail to ask the owner if they are legal when you are paying your bill.

Watch those people squirm !!! It is a fair question for us to ask so that we know never to patronize that location again. But additionally, it lets the restaurant know that their customers are noticing who they have working there and they could be busted if we turn them in.

    Excellent advise, Dixie.

I might add that it would also be wise to have not paid by credit card as well.

Actually I never ask until I'm at the cash register after dinner and notice a few louting around.

Just good to let the owner know that he has customers noticing who he has employed there.

I agree with all the advice. When I could afford to go to restaurants, I ALWAYS paid cash.

Down here, you're liable to have one of the waiters/resses swipe your card in one of those hand held swipers. Bigggg business down here.

Advice OK???? Get debt free ASAP and pay cash. If you want something and don't have the money, save it first (unless of course it's a real emergency.)

There's a major difference between need and want.

Why should only AMERICAN CITIZENS and LEGAL immigrants, have to obey the law?!
