Some Gay Men Say They Will Support Trump After Orlando Shooting

    Monday, June 13, 2016 03:48 PM
    By: Joe Crowe

Some gay men are saying that they are moving their support in the presidential election to likely Republican candidate Donald Trump in the aftermath of the Orlando gay club shootings, according to Red Alert Politics.

On a pro-Trump message board site on Reddit, a user whose screen name is 4yyy wrote, "I'm American, I'm gay. I used to think Trump was full of [expletive]. Today everything changed. My friend was one of the victims in Orlando, I've never been more ready for Trump to take office."

The user added, "I'm shaken. I'm a mess. I'm broken, but I've never been more determined for a leader to actually take charge and make a change. How do I get started? How do I help this man lead us into a safer country."

Reddit user snowduckling said that the Orlando shooting has changed his mind about his vote for president.

"I am a gay man and this disgusting incident has persuaded me to join the Trump train! It's about time that I jumped ship," the user wrote.

He said that he worries about his life more than anti-gay bias. "I'd rather be denied service from a bakery than be riddled with bullets during a hate crime performed by a crazy radical Islamic terrorist," he wrote.

An anonymous gay activist wrote on PJMedia.com about how the Orlando attacks devastated him. "The events in Orlando have shattered my political beliefs."

He said he voted for Hillary Clinton in the primary, but "I now cringe inwardly with shame and embarrassment at having done so."

The anonymous activist said Trump is the only candidate talking about stopping Islamic terror attackers, and now that issue is at the forefront for him. "Suddenly that is the only issue that really matters when it comes to the health, well-being and safety of the queer community," the activist said

He said he is disappointed that Clinton and President Barack Obama have decided that "appeasing Muslims" is more important than defending gay people.

"I don't want to vote for Trump, but I must. And if you care about the safety of the gay community in America, so must you," the activist wrote.

Thank you, thank you very very much. But let me assure you, that once you start paying attention to Donald Trump and hear what he has to say unfiltered by an extremely biased and dishonest news media, you will want to vote for Trump, not just for anti-terrorism and public safety, but for jobs, national security, peace in the world, balanced budgets, improved infrastructure, revitalization of ghettos, industries and capital flowing back home where they belong, secure borders, better immigration controls that protect our people, our citizens, our jobs and all of our communities and states.

Nothing can change the awful horrors of these terrorist acts. Nothing can ease the loss and heartbreak. Nothing can fix that. There are no words, no vigils, no funerals, no anything that can ever make it right again. But what we can all do is unite together and fix our country so these and other horrors harming our citizens are eliminated from this country. We may still have our own mentally ill people or very confused people and even evil people who will commit horrors among us, but when we restore domestic tranquility, a guarantee of our Constitution, stated in the Preamble, much of that will go away as well.

Thank you for your article, Joe Crowe, and reporting the decision by some gay men to support Donald Trump for President.

ALL American's need to put our differences aside right now and get on the TRUMP TRAIN! We cannot allow another 4 years of an Obama agenda to continue to DESTROY our Country and our way of life! Hillary, Bernie or Biden will put us all in a deeper hole of debt and despair.

Jobs, Borders, Rebuilding America, Gangs, Better Wages, National Security, Healthcare, Reducing Crime, Pride and Personal Responsibility are what is needed right now! Including stopping the invasion of our Country and ending the monumental waste, fraud and abuse of OUR money!

We need a Booster Shot...We Need TRUMP!
