You might think that a minority group would have the highest rate of suicide. The fact is that nearly 75 percent of all suicides in America are now white males, and the older the white male, the higher his likelihood of killing himself. The highest suicide rate among any group of Americans is white men over the age of 50.

Found in the 5th paragraph from the bottom of this despicable article by a gay liberal named Craig Taro Gold writing for the Communist Huffington Post.

After reading this article I could understand why his father was suicidal watching his pride and joy, his only son, bring his genetic line to a dead end and treat him like an enemy worthy of death. One of the two key aspects of the cult of Global liberalism are present in this article. 1. Project the negative things liberals are actually doing on conservatives and 2. Create rifts between children and their non liberal parents to tear asunder one of the most important love bonds God has given us.

· Although the elderly (age 65 and older) comprise about 13% of the U.S. population, they account for over 18% of all suicides.

· Suicide rates for men go up with age, most significantly over 65.

· White men over 50 make up less than 1/4 of the population but represent almost 40 percent of all suicides.

· Suicide rates for women peak between 45-64 years old, and then again at 75 years old.

The Liberal mind is a sick mind and yes our public education units have long worked at separating parents and children as Hitler did with his agenda, note on tv sitcom after sitcom showing parents as failures while the children are enlighten living in groups.
The article's writer like all liberals never take responsibility for there failures.

I wonder what proportion of people committing suicide are doing so because of terminal illness. Seeing as how older people are more likely to be terminally ill that could explain the rise in numbers as people grow older.

Think your on to something there also I believe depression is much higher now then ever before among all people in the USA,more anger,perhaps(playing amateur psychologist)due to media, people more isolated due to cells,computers, etc Having said that don't believe it's all the fault of old white guys.

I was told by one of my grandkids that she had learned in one of her classes that older woman were more prone to committing suicide because they don't want to be a burden to their children. I told her my biggest fear was ending up in a care home where all the caregivers didn't speak English.
