OPEN LETTER TO W
I have been sitting here all morning since the announcement ALIPAC wont take part in the Arizona protest.
I think this is a mistake, and here is why....and why I wish you would reconsider.
I realize, this is your barbacue, and we are all guests here, and I thanks you for that.
I also realize, in the grand scheme of things, I am more of a foot soldier than a leader, and I am okay with that.
I cannot imagine the garbage you must go through, how many times a day you might be called a racist, what you have to give up with family for this cause, I honestly have no clue what it takes.....but thank you for your sacrafices.
I understand the concept of racists showing up for the protest, and you are correct, we dont want to be associated with KKK, Neo Nazi's, and skinheads
I also understand we need to distance ourselves from these kind of people.
But, here is an opportunity, because of who you are, and the size of ALIPAC, you have an opportunity, when interviewed, to denounce the racist organizations.
With these other organizations, they will be proven correct.
With representatives from ALIPAC, we can have people redirecting it to what it is, illegal immigration, the breaking of our laws, and the bankrupting of our country.
These other groups will be trying to get media attention, and they will make the whole movement look like redneck trailer park trash.
We need quality speakers in place, we need people that the common man can relate too, someone who can speak without all the racist rhetoric.
We need ALIPAC to be in place.
This is just my opinion, and I respect any decision made.
Mark

i can understand both sides. but i also understand that the media will have a field day and say that groups like us have members who are skinheads and support their activities. by not going the name of this group wont be tarnished in any way

OPEN LETTER
I have to agree. If only racist skinhead white supremists show up the media will say "SEE, WE TOLD YOU THAT SUPPORTERS OF ARIZONA'S LAW ARE ALL RACISTS"
Unfortunately, I can not attend the rally, so I really have no say about what happens.
Is there any way to separate ALIPAC supporters from the radical racists? We must show that normal, reasonable citizens want immigration laws enforced.

You make an excellent point, sdbrit68. We must not let true racist organizations control our side of the debate.

I guess this is just one of those darned if you do, and darned if you don't, situations."The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" ** Edmund Burke**

The problem that I saw with this fiasco was not just idiots attending, but idiots organizing, securing permits, and thereby speaking for those who showed up. The protest was hijacked and orchestrated by skin head supporters or sympathizers, this would look bad on ALIPAC.
If the KKK shows up at a protest, that is one thing. If the KKK organizes the protest and then ALIPAC shows up................not good.
