Students Hate 'Trump' Immigration, Border-Wall Quotes... Don't Realize They're From Dems

This month, the federal government entered a partial shutdown after Congress was unable to reach a budget agreement, primarily on funding for President Donald Trump’s proposed wall along the southern border.
The wall, a key talking point for Trump throughout the campaign, has been decried by leaders in the Democrat party as anti-American and immoral, among other things.

But their opposition to the wall and embrace of looser immigration laws seems to be a new development.
In recent years, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, President Barack Obama, and Secretary Hillary Clinton have all stated the danger in embracing illegal immigration and ignoring the laws we have on the books.
Such quotes include:

“Illegal Immigration is wrong, plain and simple. Until the American people are convinced we will stop future flows of illegal immigration, we will make no progress.” -Senator Chuck Schumer, 2009
“We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented and unchecked” -Barack Obama, 2005
“I voted numerous times… to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in. And I do think you have to control your borders.” -Hillary Clinton, 2008

Wanting to know if opponents of Trump’s border wall had opinions on these past quotes from Democrat leaders, Campus Reform's Cabot Phillips headed to American University.

But there’s a catch… the students were told the quotes actually came from President Trump.
Upon hearing the quotes, students said Trump’s words were “dehumanizing,” “problematic,” and “jingoist.”

“I just really think it’s hateful speech,” one student said, while another added, “the way he’s referring to people across the wall is dehumanizing.”

One student said the comments held racist undertones, claiming “there are racial biases deeply embedded in there.”
But this was all before they knew these quotes were actually coming from political idols of theirs.

They're victims of DemoQuackery, Fake News, Never Trumpers and Trump Haters. Young people don't follow the news, never have really, but at least when we turned on the Tee Vee or our parents told us something they read in the paper, we could for the most part take it to the bank. Today, they have no source of real information except from people they've been indoctrinated not to trust. It's happening everywhere, it's the new game in town, that's why you see so many false accusations about "lies".

That was a great exercise by that reporter, the reaction when they learned the truth was stunning. They'll be thinking about that for a long time, they'll be looking into it as well, they'll be telling their friends, too. Word will get around. They'll start to see they've been punked by the DemoQuacks, and they'll eventually see it's time to put their phony racism and division cards away and go make some money with Trump and the Republicans while they still have the chance.

I sure hope so anyway!

We need more people to get on our school grounds and do this.

Not to put them down or embarrass them but teach them the FACTS.

Teach them the facts of what the Democrat policies have done to our low income and African American people...they still have NO clue and refuse to listen or learn all these decades later and still vote for those Democrats who suppress them. Truly mind boggling how ignorant and informed people are.

Just look at their "role model" AOC...what a nutcase.

All this FREE stuff is paid for by hard working American people who are trying to pay their own bills and survive.

Exactly. Our young people are really great, I know this from my own family and their friends. They work many hours, go to college, all at the same time, they're exhausted and frustrated, but hopeful. The ones who have family they can believe and who can back up the arguments with facts, they see, and then their whole attitude changes, they see a way out of this that Trump is giving them, they start watching the stock market, and monthly GDP and Employment Data, they'll even call me to talk about it. And most of the young ones didn't vote for Trump, they were worried more about their friends, many of whom are from other countries, and didn't understand the problem massive illegal and even excess legal immigration is causing our nation and citizens, but only saw the issue through their friends often predicament. They still care about their friends, but not in the same vein as they did before. They still hope things work out for their friends, but they now understand the burden of illegal immigration and excess legal immigration on the wages, hours, jobs, seats in college, housing costs, and other opportunities of our own citizens, especially young ones, which means ... them.

Good to hear Judy. Our young people need to ASK these foreigners why they don't go home and solve their own problems?

They do not need to come here. They need to go home and fight for their rights and prosperity in their Nation.

Not come here with the attitude we owe them...they have no right to come here and we owe them nothing.

They "owe" it to themselves to stay home and fight for their future there.

Bringing millions of foreigners into our Nation is a threat to our future security and prosperity. It needs to stop and 25 million need to be deported. It would bring immediate relief to our inner cities, our welfare system, our schools, roads and financial well being.

They need to think about the water usage, power, trash, pollution, food, overcrowding of schools, roads, jails, healthcare system and quality of OUR lives this impacts.

Yes, that's right. What some may not realize about this issue for our younger generation, especially the Millennials, is they've gone to school with illegal aliens for most of their lives, they've developed friendships, they date, they know their parents, they live in their neighborhoods, they've gone to each other's birthday parties, attended the same school and day cares, they've played kick ball in the cul-de-sac, they've made snow men, they've romped in piles of leaves, exchanged Christmas presents .... all the things you do with your friends. When you have 30 million illegal aliens in the country, their children are embedded, some of the children are citizens but their parents aren't, how do children and young people grasp this? What are they supposed to do with the information? It's a very tricky thing explaining it all to them, without hurting their feelings or making them hate you.

Solving this problem of illegal immigration will be the hardest thing Americans have ever done.
