Pittsburgh resident, Syrian man arrested on terrorism charges after allegedly planning attack on Christian church

A 21-year-old Pittsburgh resident and Syrian refugee accused of planning an attack on a Christian church on the city’s North Side and providing resources to ISIS has been arrested.

Mustafa Mousab Alowemer, 21, was arrested Wednesday based on a federal complaint charging him with one count of attempting to provide material support and resources to ISIS, and two counts of distributing information relating to an explosive, destructive device or weapon of mass destruction in relation to a plan to attack a church.

Alowemer allegedly planned to bomb the Legacy International Worship Center using a weapon of mass destruction. The FBI said Alowemer thought he was plotting online and in person with fellow ISIS sympathizers, but they were actually undercover for the FBI.

When Legacy International Worship Center Pastor Michael Day received a call from the FBI, he was overwhelmed.

“I am grateful nothing did happen and I’m grateful that we are able to show that God covered us and protected us and that people are still alive, and that people are able to hug their children and loved ones,” Pastor Michael Day said.

According to the complaint, Alowemer was born in Daraa, Syria, and was admitted to the United States as a refugee on Aug. 1, 2016.

Wake up do-gooders!

It wasn’t white conservatives worshiping at a mega-church that he was targeting, but poor blacks who were immigrants like himself he wanted dead.

He described the church as ‘Nigerian’ and ‘mushrikeen’, an Arabic term for those who commit idolatry, and called for using a bomb big enough to ‘destroy it all’, according to a criminal complaint.

You need to file this story away, so that the next time someone from the refugee industry tries to tell your ‘welcoming’ town that refugees never commit crimes or plan terrorist attacks, you can just whip this story out to prove they are lying (again!).

Imagine our shock — one of Obama’s poor Syrian ‘refugees’ was planning on killing Christians.

A Syrian ‘refugee’ who was admitted to the US in August of 2016, was arrested Wednesday on terrorism charges after planning an attack on a Christian church on behalf of ISIS.Federal prosecutors accused Mustafa Mousab Alowemer, 21, of planning a terrorist attack on a Christian church on the north side of Pittsburgh “to support the cause of ISIS and to inspire other ISIS supporters in the United States.”

The bombing was supposed to take place in July of this year according to the Justice Department.ABC News reported:

According to the criminal complaint, Alowemer was born in Daraa, Syria and was admittedto the U.S. as a refugee in August 2016.
He allegedly provided “multiple instructional documents” on how to build improvised explosive devices, referred to as IEDs, to an undercover FBI agent who he believed was a fellow ISIS supporter, according to the DOJ.
The complaint also alleges that Alowemer further detailed his plans and support for ISIS and jihad in social media communications.
“Alowemer also distributed propaganda materials, offered to provide potential targets in the Pittsburgh area, requested a weapon with a silencer, and recorded a video of himself pledging an oath of allegiance to the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi,” the DOJ said in a statement.
The DOJ also said Alowemer had drafted a “10-point handwritten plan” related to a plot to bomb the church, and printed out copies of satellite maps from Google which he provided to a source working for the FBI as well as an undercover FBI employee.

Barack Obama flooded the US with Muslim ‘refugees’ and the dangerous program, although greatly reduced, is continuing under President Trump.
