Thread: Talk show radio station switching to Spanish

One of the best talk show stations in the Denver area (AM 1650 KNUS2 ) is switching to "much-needed broadcasting in Spanish" on Monday 29 October.

The hosts who used to be on AM 1650 KNUS2 are being moved to "sister station" AM 710 KNUS which has a much weaker signal that we can't get after about 5 pm (we're on the outskirts of Denver). Meanwhile, the other station has a very strong signal and will be blaring Spanish shows 24 hours a day

The new line-up at 710 is impressive, but what good is it if listeners outside Denver can't hear it after 5 pm (basically, after work when one has time to listen)?

Well, in the end it'll be advertising dollars and the returns from them that will determine what will be broadcast. We'll keep doing our job and maybe foreign languages won't be so lucrative. Let us know who's advertising.

In my opinion, NO Democrat presidential candidate can save this nation, despite so-called ‘Republican’ Bush giving the party a stink! [ BOTH parties contribute to La Raza (THE Race), Mecha, LULAC, etc etc etc.. ]. So if you want to contribute, do so to the candidate, NOT the party!

See.. about 70% of Republicans are AGAINST illegal migration ETC, whereas approximately the same percentage of Democrats are FOR that chaos! In the last election, a lot of people THOUGHT that by voting 'democrat', they'd stop this mayhem, but voting all ‘one’ party?!

Again, the line-up is impressive, but what good is it if we can't hear it? The only time the reception is halfway decent is when the sun is up. I emailed them to complain but know this won't change anything.

Loservillelabor asked who advertizes on the station. As the Spanish programming hasn't started yet, I don't know. It starts Monday, but I don't know if I can stomach listening once it starts. I speak several languages (including reasonable Spanish) and love different languages and cultures, but not when one of them is taking over our country.

You will find the radio stations from ALL OVER THE U.S........many you can't get on the radio, BUT CAN on your computer.

I listen to Laura Ingraham from 9-12, Rush Limbaugh from 12-3 and Sean Hannity from 3-6 (all ET). When I change stations, I simply back click to steamingradioguide page, click on NEWS/TALK again and the time is updated.

No matter the time of day, you will find someone worth listening to.
