Supporters were waiting for hours in the sun to hear Donald Trump at the Orlando Sanford International Airport Tuesday.

The rally, held outdoors on the tarmac outside the Million Air hangar, was scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

Rally goers, wearing T-shirts with slogans ranging from "Hillary for Prison" to "Deplorable Me" to a shiny "TRUMP" belt buckle, were sure Trump would win despite lagging behind Hillary Clinton in the polls both nationally and in Florida.

"We want to hear about how he's going to build the wall," said Nikki Greathouse of Kissimmee. "How he's going to defeat ISIS. And jobs. We need jobs in this country something fierce. Good jobs."

"I want to hear about how I'll be able to take a vacation when he becomes president," said Leslee Cochran of Palm Coast. "I haven't been able to take a vacation in eight years."

Other said they would listen to Trump simply repeat everything he's said already.

"I'm here to send a message," said Winnie Gustafson of Eustis. "My body is here to say, this is what we've been waiting for for so many years. We've been stepped on and disrespected by politicians for so many years."

Across the road, a lone protester, William Turnbull of Clermont, stood with a "Trump lies while America dies" sign.

"This is the second one I've been to after Kissimmee," Turnbull said. "I got a lot of obscenities, a lot of death threats in Kissimmee. I just got here though."

Trump spent Tuesday morning at an event with his employees at his Doral golf course in South Florida. After his Sanford event, he was scheduled for an evening rally in Tallahassee.
