We learned that the district sent administrators to Spain, no less, to find teachers to teach the bilinguals. Often they were subpar teachers, or worse had very poor English -and soon went back home. Think of the money spent to recruit teachers from Spain.

This year 77% of our kindergarteners spoke a foreign language -so the situation is only getting worse. More monolingual teachers lost their jobs next year as you can imagine.
