A man waving a Quran and dressed in a robe was arrested in Denton, Texas, Wednesday after allegedly making “terroristic threats” at several locations in town, including an IHOP restaurant, a hospital and the county courthouse.

Police first encountered Peshwaz Azad Waise, 28, following reports of a man making death threats and talking about “Allah and God.”

According to police, Waise caused a stir at the restaurant on Tuesday by approaching diners and trying to hand out Qurans. He was cited for trespassing and told to leave the area.

On Wednesday morning, he reportedly drove to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital and tried to give a woman in the parking lot a copy of the Quran. Police say he then entered the hospital and threatened to impose the death penalty on several people for refusing.

“He told them to give the Quran to the chaplain or chapel ‘or die,'” read a police press release.

Waise also said the hospital would “go down,” according to the arrest warrant.

Police caught up with Waise again at the county courthouse, where witnesses said he tried to go inside the building but was stopped at the security checkpoint. He called himself “the king” and screamed threats about imposing the “death penalty” while insisting he be allowed to give a copy of the Quran to the judges, according to KDFW-TV.

He was approached by sheriff’s deputies and arrested without incident.
“Anyone who touches me is going to bleed,” police quoted him as saying.

Waise was taken to the Denton jail and his car was searched by the bomb squad. No weapons were found.

“This is the first time I’ve seen this type of response,” lawyer Pete Schulte told the Dallas News. “But I’m glad they’re being prudent and investigating.”

DENTON (CBSDFW.COM) – Denton County deputies, police and security took an Iraqi man into custody at a Denton County courts building after a loud outburst and two run-ins with people previously that had police issuing a warrant for his arrest.

Workers at a Denton IHOP restaurant say 28-year-old Peshwaz Waise came into their restaurant around 6:00 a.m. wearing what they called a turban, clutching a Koran and talking to customers about accepting its message.

“So, I guess he approached the guy with the same message but the guy had on a Trump supporter shirt on,” said restaurant employee Darel Walker. “So I guess that where the issue arose.”

The two started arguing which prompted a call to 911.

“Since the guy, the Trump supporter, was sitting down, a paying customer, the dude was asked to leave,” Walker said. “And I heard it carried on into the parking lot.”

Waise was given a ticket for trespassing. Next, police tell CBS11 Waise headed to this hospital and harassed employees telling one woman if she didn’t take his Koran she would die and that the hospital would go down.

Police say he next showed up at the courthouse yelling in Arabic and wanting to see judges.

“I could hear somebody being pulled out of the courthouse screaming and yelling,” said attorney and witness Philip Ray. “I couldn’t understand what he was saying but it was at a high volume. I couldn’t see who he was but there were many officers around him.”

Other attorneys inside the court building were hustled into safe areas.

“We were told that there had been threats made by this individual to judges and lawyers and that when he walked into the courthouse and they were screaming Arabic and had a turban and was trying to show people copies of the Koran,” said attorney Pete Schulte.

As a precaution, police brought in a bomb unit to search Waise’s car. They cleared the scene after removing what appeared to be paint cans from the car.

“And then for something like that to happen not only in your city but where I work? It’s a little unnerving,” Walker said.

Police found a passport on Waise identifying him as an Iraqi.

Investigators said Waise was charged with making terroristic threats and given a ticket earlier in the day outside the restaurant for trespassing.

Why do we want people like this in our country? It's bad enough when they're in other countries. But in our dear country? Why? WHY ARE THEY HERE? Why is an Iraqi fruitloop in our country? Don't we have enough of our own confused individuals? Why do we import these people? For what purpose? What benefit? What end?

Go "diversify" Africa, China, Japan, the Middle East...anywhere else but here. Our "melting pot" is boiling over!

Does that mean they will kick him & his iraqi passport out of the country? why is he here anyway, How well was he checked out prior to entering? there is NO checking! Any piece of scum is let in here; how many more like him are here?

This is what our gov't is doing to America; add all the gross illegals, rapists, drug dealers, child molesters to the muslim nutcases and America is being destroyed. This is not right.
