Three more sheriff departments get 287g training -announced

I was looking at the ICE press releases just now and they have three releases about offices getting 287g training okay. Our sheriff recently announced our 287g app. was on a holding pattern. I'm not sure what that means. But I'm encouraged that three got the go ahead today. The link is at the bottom if you want to read more information -hope it's in your area of the country!!

I hope that I can announce our acceptance soon as the sheriff's jail is in Waukegan -can you imagine...

Eight Deputies from the Etowah County Sheriff's Office begin 287 (g) immigration enforcement training
Rigorous 4-week training at Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Charleston, SC

Officers from two Florida law enforcement agencies begin 287 (g) immigration enforcement training
Rigorous 4-week training at Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Charleston, SC

Nine law enforcement officers from the Tennessee Department of Safety begin 287 (g) immigration enforcement training
Rigorous 4-week training at Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Charleston, SC

This is the link to the 3 press releases from the ICE page, dated all 7/22.

Every law enforcement department that gets 287g is one step closer to sending illegal alien criminals out of their county and out of the country.

I hope that your area will have the 287g as a reality very soon fedupinwaukegan. I hope that our Police and Sheriff departments will actually apply for the 287 g, instead of just making excuses. Glad to see Tennessee on the list for some participation.

Congratulations to these areas and thank you fedupinwaukegan for these announcements.

Taxpayer cannot keep funding local police - that's a fact..

And funding all the giveaway to the illegals, here.

I wonder if the police department are only getting into illegal deporting for the money

Creative aren't they at making the citizen think that it is required - it is the money they will be getting.

I spoke with one of our newly elected council members about a week ago , he said our 287g officer refered 53 illegals to ICE last month .
I asked him if he knew how many ICE picked up and he did not know ,
he also was not aware of Congress removing funding for non criminal illegal alien removal . So i really do not know how much 287g is helping other than , i hope taking out the criminal element . The ones they get lucky enough to catch .

Don't think the program gives any money to the locals. The feds pay for the training but the Police dept pays the salary during the training and after.
