The sad thing is that most of the illegals at least here in this part of the country, do really good work , concrete, landscaping or what ever. The illegal housekeepers working for the hospitality industry do excellent work and that is what is going to run the business owners and the American workers out of work. The business owners hire them because they can get away with paying them less and get good results out of them. Eventually they will start their own cleaning businesses and concrete or what ever then people will hire them instead of the established American workers!

Debra,
Welcome!
This may be true w/ some immigrant workers, but the main fact is they are here illegally and shouldn't be working here at all unless they are legal.
I have two friends who own their own construction companies, one of them contracts for Ivory homes here in UT.
He does very thorough background checks on his employees, and he will not hire anyone who does not have at least 5 years experience, even if it is for drywalling.
Both of my friends have hired hispanics in the past, and 1 out of every 2 jobs they contracted had to be done again because of the shotty work done by the laborers.
Like I said, I'm sure there are some good workers out there, but the majority don't seem to take too much pride in their work."Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting the same results is the definition of insanity. " Albert Einstein.

When we cleaned commercial buildings...(couldn't make it because illegals worked too cheap), we had to to many one time jobs. These one time jobs were jobs that belonged to another sub-contractor (most, in my opinion were illegals...could no speak english ) whose work was poorly done...so then they would get us to come in and bring it up to standards again. As one company we did a one time clean for (they were about to lose the business of this company)put it....there was a difference between night and day in our cleaning. Therefore we saved that job. They did not terminate their contract. This happened many times!
Since the jobs were done so cheaply, they would to a quick clean and on to the next job. There was no pride taken. We had to clean up after them many times...but at the same time...we couldn't afford to stay in business. Please help save America for our children and grandchildren... they are counting on us. THEY DESERVE the goodness of AMERICA not to be given to those who are stealing our children's future! ... and a congress who works for THEM!

A roofer called into a local talk show and said his full time business was repairing roof work done by Hispanics. Another caller talked about the poor quality work done in construction and it might be years before the problems showed up. One man had to completely redo his bathroom because they forgot to put some kind of backing on before installing the shower tiles. The calls just went on and on.....the problem is they are never going to have to deal with the problems so they do the work the quickest way they can.

Because the illegals have driven prices down so far production has became the only way to make any money, quality no longer really matters. Like a builder i talked to once about the lousy job he received his response was "It sells..."

Sometime ago I've read an article about an EPIDEMIC OF BUGS IN BED
in hotels around the country, it was saying to be careful with all
categories, from the 1 star to the 5 stars , could be infected and we should check and even take the blow drier and blow over the mattres to be sure it has no bugs.
The article even gave the name of a person who not knowing carried bugs to her home and got infested also at home.
Yes Illegals do a great job.... and hotel owners can be very proud...

I seriously doubt the guests brought bed bugs into a 5-star hotel.

Of course not , but the lack of cleaning did.
They hire these illegals and they don't clean anything , they don't speak a word of english so you cannot complain either.
