Obama Blames Geography For Democrats Losing Election
Obama Blames Geography For Democrats Losing Election
"... gives them an advantage ..."
November 22, 2016 at 11:57am
In the wake of a historic loss for Democrats in the November election, President Barack Obama gave his take on the situation during a press conference Sunday in Lima, Peru.
Fox News’ Rich Eson reminded Obama that as a result of the recent election, Republicans will soon control the White House, the House and Senate, two-thirds of state legislature and 34 governorships.
Rather than pointing to failed leadership within the Democratic party, Obama blamed the election results on the nature of the voting system and geography.
“I think there was a Gallup poll this week subsequent to the election that showed the general public has a more favorable view of Democrats than Republicans,” Obama first noted.
“As long as Wyoming gets the same number of senators as California, there’s going to be some tilt towards Republicans when it comes to Congressional races,” Obama argued.
“Are you worried you could be the last Democratic president, for a while?” Edson then asked.
Edson also noted that former President George W. Bush refrained from publicly criticizing Obama while he was in office and asked the president if he will “equally withhold public criticism for President Trump, even if he attempts to dismantle much of what you’ve accomplished?”
“Well no, I’m not worried about being the last Democratic president. I think, not even for a while,” Obama responded.
“And I say that, not being cute. The Democratic nominee won the popular vote and obviously this was an extremely competitive race and I would expect that future races will be competitive as well.”
“Politics in America is up for grabs,” the president added.
Obama also noted that party alignments are being re-shaped.
As a result, Obama said, “Democrats do have to do some thinking, about how do we make sure that the message we have is received effectively and results in winning elections.”
Obama stated that while many of his proposals, such as raising the minimum wage, commonsense gun safety rules and investing in rebuilding the country’s infrastructure have garnered majority support, geography has kept them from receiving a working majority.
“The fact that a lot of Democratic voters are bunched up in big cities and a lot of Republican voters are spread out across geography, gives them an advantage…” Obama said.
He also blamed “political bad luck” for the Republicans winning control of the government.

Obama has proved himself a cool guy who also happens to be a complete idiot when it comes to our country. Thank goodness we only have two months to go and this nightmare is over.

They still have no clue what happened in the election. lol they are blaming it on everything they can think of. Sort of reminds me of the video of Hellery standing next to Wild Willy giving a speech all of a sudden she is looking in the air rolling her eyes making a face like a space ship is landing over their heads hasn't a clue what she was doing or where she was.
