Trump: ‘We’re Going to Win South Carolina,’ Will ‘Make America Great Again,’ ‘The Old-Fashioned Way’

    by IAN HANCHETT
    9 Feb 2016

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump vowed “We’re going to win in South Carolina” “We are going to make America great again, but we’re going to do it the old-fashioned way” after winning the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday.

Trump, after thanking his family, staff, during which he joked that they learned a lot about ground games in a week, the other candidates, and the voters, who he promised that he would “be back a lot”, turned to Democratic candidate Senator Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who Trump said, “wants to give away our country, folks. We’re not going to let it happen.”

He then said, “We are going to make America great again, but we’re going to do it the old-fashioned way. We’re going to beat China, Japan. We’re going to beat Mexico at trade. We’re going to beat all of these countries, that are taking so much of our money away from us, on a daily basis. It’s not going to happen anymore. We have the greatest businesspeople, right now, in the world. They call me all the time. They want to be involved. We have political hacks negotiating our deals for billions and billions and billions of dollars, not going to happen anymore. We’re going to use the finest businesspeople in the world. We are going to do something so good, and so fast, and so strong, and the world is going to respect us again, believe me.”

Trump added, “I think one of the things that really caught on, it’s very important, self-funding my campaign. … I see all of this money being poured into commercials, and it’s not their money, it’s special interest money. And this is on both sides. This is on the Republican side, the Democrat side, money just pouring into commercials. These are special interests, folks. These are lobbyists. These are people that don’t necessarily love our country. They don’t have the best interests of our country at heart. We’re not going to let it happen. We can’t. We have to do something about it. When you see the kind of deals made in our country, a lot of those deals are made because the politicians aren’t so stupid, they’re making them for their benefit. We have to stop it. We are now going to make it for your benefit, we’re going to make the deals for the American people. That’s the way it is.”

He further said, “We’re going to rebuild our military. … Nobody is going to mess with us. Believe me, nobody. We are going to take care of our vets. … We are going to have strong, incredible borders, and people are going to come into our country, but they’re going to come into our country legally. They’re going to come in legally. We’re going to build a wall. It’s going to be built. It’s not even — believe it or not, it’s not even a difficult thing to do. And, by the way, for the people of New Hampshire, where you have a tremendous problem with heroin and drugs. … We’re going to end it. We’re going to end it at the southern border. It’s going to be over. And we’re going to work really hard to get those people that are so addicted off the habit.” And “We’re going to replace Obamacare. It is a total disaster. We’re repealing and replacing Obamacare. It’s gone. We’re getting rid of Common Core. We’re going to educate our children locally. We educate our children locally. We are going to preserve our very sacred Second Amendment. There’s not going to be anymore chipping away at our Second Amendment.”

Trump then turned to the economy, stating, “I am going to be the greatest jobs president that god ever created, remember that. Don’t believe those phony numbers when you hear 4.9 and 5% unemployment. The number’s probably 28, 29, as high as 35. In fact, I even heard recently, 42%. Do you have think, we’d have gatherings like this if we were — if we had 5% unemployment, do you really think we’d have these gatherings? Forgetting about security, forgetting about ISIS, which, by the way, we’re going to knock the hell out of ISIS. We’re going to knock the hell out of them, and it’s going to be done the right way. So we’re going to take care of the economy. We’re going to take care of jobs.”

Trump concluded by vowing, “We are going now, to South Carolina. We’re going to win in South Carolina.”

Jeb spent over $1,200 per vote in NH while Trump was under $40, the second lowest to Cruz' $18. That is astounding!

Yes, Trump and Cruz's message on immigration and border security is resonating with a lot of folks. People are tired of the passe messages coming from the establishment candidates.

DONALD TRUMPTED CRUZ IS A PUSSY!!!

Donald Trump shamed the woman in the audience who dared shout that Ted Cruz is a pussy ... and then Trump said it himself!

The Prez candidate was a maestro at a Manchester, New Hampshire rally Monday, when Cruz's position on waterboarding came up.

Why waste your time reading this ... the video is an instant classic.

IMO Trump needs to keep the vulgarity out of his campaign.

I have no problem at all with words Americans use to describe weakness like the "P" word, I have no problem at all with other words like the F word, the S word, the H word to express measurement. These are words most Americans are very familiar with, hear often in every day speech, and express what really can't be expressed otherwise which is why the words are used to begin with. There's a reason the First Amendment protected our right to free speech and I don't think that right should be abandoned, punished, restricted or criticized especially in political dialogue.

    Yes MW, he should try.

Although he did not originate the language, he was safe letting the person do the dirty work and could have left it with that. He merely repeated the phrase so others could hear. He is consistent and not a phony. While I personally support him, I can not figure out for the life of me how something like this would negatively affect any other candidate and it merely rolls off of him like water on a freshly waxed car. It is not very presidential as we know it, but look at the last three or four presidents; they did not do this in front of the camera as far as we know and they did not do much to make this country better either. If this is what comes with a candidate who will bring on the necessary changes that need to occur and rid this government of its political correctness and stupidity, then I will accept it. I know it is vulgar, but it is another way of saying wimp or coward.

But, it's not vulgar! The word means cat or weak, wimp, coward, sissy, pansy, etc. Please don't let people whose minds reside in the sewer destroy our language!!

Everyone is going to have their own opinion, but for me the word is vulgar and has no place on a presidential campaign. What if, after losing the Super Bowl, Peyton Manning would have publicly called Cam Newton the "P" word? Of course we know Peyton Manning has too much class for that, but you get my point. If it's a word you wouldn't use in front of your child or grandchild, then it's probably not a word you should say publicly. I wonder how many parents brought their young children to that rally?
