MIT professor unloads on Trump after GOP candidate calls him out

    INDUSTRIES & TAGS Health Care

Jonathan Gruber, an MIT economics professor and an architect of Massachusetts health reform and the Affordable Care Act, has been out of the spotlight for months. But Republican presidential candidate Donald Trumpjust dragged him back into it.
During Sunday night’s debate, Trump brought up Gruber by name, saying that health care reform, colloquially called Obamacare, was a scam.

“You know that, because Jonathan Gruber, the architect of Obamacare, was said — he said it was a great lie, it was a big lie,” Trump said. “President Obama said you keep your doctor, you keep your plan. The whole thing was a fraud, and it doesn’t work.”
Trump was referring to Gruber’s comments in November 2014, when Gruber talked about the ways the Affordable Care Act might have been written to be misleading and said the obfuscation was needed due to “the stupidity of the American voter” to make sure the law passed.

Gruber, who served as a board member of the state's online health marketplace until last year, has since apologized for the comments and testified about them in front of members of the United States Congress. When asked to respond on Trump’s comments, Gruber said the debate showed who really has a grasp of health care reform.

“My only comment is that last night showed the difference between a candidate with a strong and coherent health care agenda (Clinton) and one with a garbage salad of right wing talking points (Trump),” Gruber wrote in an email.
Trump advocated for a brand new health insurance system that wasn't restricted by state lines to create more competition, but gave few other details.

Clinton has advocated for fixes to the existing Affordable Care Act, saying changes need to happen to make it more affordable, but the plan itself should be kept.

"Let’s fix what’s broken about it, but let’s not throw it away and give it all back to the insurance companies and the drug companies," Clinton said. "That’s not going to work."

Gruber is a pig, an idiot, who has wasted enormous time, money and yes lives in the process of a wacko health system that has bankrupted itself, cost people good insurance, cost them their jobs, and even cost people their lives in end of life pressures to just die and go away or we'll kill you off and get you out of the way whether you want it or not. Palin was right about the Death Panels.

The Obamacare Fraud, Starring Jonathan Gruber

    <strong>

    Published on Nov 15, 2014
Jonathan Holmes Gruber, an America professor of economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and one of the so-called "Architects" of Obamacare, reveals in great detail how the 2700 page trillion dollar "Affordable Care Act", also known as Obamacare, was cleverly designed, duplicitously written, not bothered to be read by our elected lawmakers, and ultimately passed by both Houses of Congress. Gruber credits the purposeful "lack of transparency" by the Obama administration, and "the stupidity of the America voter" for the bills successful passage. Obamacare was "rammed through" by Democrats on Christmas Eve 2009, and passed at 1:00 a.m.

Christmas morning, with no bipartisan support, using misrepresentation, lies, deception and notably (asJonathan Gruber puts it) "the clever basic exploitation of the lack of basic economic understanding of the average voter”. aka. the Stupid American Voter. Obamacare is considered to be by many the biggest case of consumer fraud ever perpetrated in the United States. Starring Barack Obama P.O.T.U.S, Mary Landrieu U.S. Senator from Louisiana, John Cornyn, U.S. Senator from Texas, Jonathan Gruber, MIT professor, Hilary Clinton, the likely 2016 Democrat Presidential Nominee, high ranking political figures, "important" officials, V.I.Ps, miscellaneous "dear leaders" and other assorted "big government" bureaucrats. Music by Al Jarreau.

3 Jonathan Gruber Videos: Americans "Too Stupid to Understand" Obamacare

    Published on Nov 12, 2014
In three separate appearances, MIT economist Jonathan Gruber, dubbed the "Obamacare Architect," took a dim view of Americans' intelligence. In the first, he discusses "the stupidity of the American voter." In the second, that "Americans were too stupid to understand" one of the ACA's tax increases. In the third, he describes the law's "exploitation of the lack of understanding of the American voter."

Donald Trump will come up with a great plan to replace ObamaCare. The main thing is to repeal the McCarran-Ferguson Act of 1945 to allow interstate competition subject to the Sherman Anti-Trust Act. The McCarran-Ferguson Act exempts insurance companies, all insurance companies from the Sherman Anti-Trust Act if they are regulated by a State. This was to bypass a US Supreme Court Ruling and has resulted in horrible and bizarre inequities in the insurance business nationwide.

This repeal of McCarran-Ferguson is what Trump is talking about when he said we need to "get rid of the lines", he's referring to state lines that create monopolies within the state because they are exempt from the Sherman Anti-Trust Act because of the McCarran-Ferguson Act of 1945.

He supports a federal law that prohibits exclusions for prior existing conditions, rescission without cause, and terminations for using your insurance because you got sick.

He supports public assistance for poor people who can't afford it.
