The media has been crowing about Democrat gains in the US House, and maybe in the Senate. It's along ways to November though. And Trump has a summit coming up with North Korea; something Obama should have done years ago. And hopefully the Clinton's REAL Russian collusion will be exposed.

Oh yes and much more happening too, health care associations will be available to the public this summer through US Department of Labor, Secretary Acosta is working on this, according to Trump and Acosta at the Tax Cut Summit in Florida today. We may have a NAFTA REDO done in a couple of months or a decision to withdraw. And if the meeting goes well with North Korea, then US will sign the new South Korean Trade Agreement. Tariffs will have been in effect on China and other countries for steel and aluminum while negotiations with China to clean up their act will be down the road. We may also have a new trade deal with Japan as well very soon, we've already negotiated new deals with 6 other countries that were part of the TPP, Japan's leader will be with Trump tomorrow at Mar-a-Lago to discuss N. Korea and Trade. Troops are on the border, so we should see significant reductions on border crossings in a month or so and by summer all the agencies tasked with dealing with this Catch and Release will have their ideas for solutions alternative to changing the law since we of course can't count on Congress for any help through their "enumerated powers to write immigration law".

It's such an exciting time, I wish with all my heart more of my ALIPAC friends could see all the good being done essentially by one guy we put in the White House and is doing so against all odds imaginable. It's remarkable really, so at least glad to see his approval ratings rising in Rasmussen, one of the 3 polls to get it right on Trump in November of 2016.

Why is everyone believing the polls? Every poll seems to indicate the Democrats will take over the House. BS, I do not believe any of the polls. Looks to me like they were so wrong in the general election why should we believe any of them?

There's only 1 daily presidential tracking poll now and it's Rasmussen who was 1 of the 3 out of 20 or more during the election that got it right and showed Trump could/would win. The other 2 were Los Angeles Times/UCLA and an IBD poll. It was fun during the election to watch these 3 who would be either the same or within 1 to 2 points of each other and compare them to all the other rigged polls showing Hillary ahead by double-digits.

I have been on the Heritage Action Sentinel Nation call for about a half dozen times now. Some of the things they bring up I don't care that much about, but I keep hoping for a shot to get on it live during the call.
    1. Medical costs---they probably won't get to chnaging anything in Obamacare this year. I would like to see something like a Brains Trust to address high medical costs---which are often the result of having the latest--and most expensive technology. Yet technology falls in cost as it is more widely adopted. Can we make this fall faster? As people live a lot longer they will have mnay more problems that would be addressed, so ---without monitoring the costs---this could be an increasing burden to Medicare. Perhaps there are other costs such a panel could address, but technology is one of the big ones. However with the deep divisions in our country the media hacks would probably scoff at this.
    2. I believe we should strengthen Social Security---not privatize it or let it go broke. I always ask if Heritage will recommend to Congress that they go after the tax dodgers? $400-500 billion per year. And apparently there has been some improvement in that lately. Congress borrowed from Social Security----can't they pay it back as they reclaim waste, fraud and abuse and outright evasion?

I am skeptical about the polls but I hope this one is right. Personally, I do not see how any citizen would be for the Democrats. The media is so biased if you only watch CNN, MSNBC or any of the networks you would think Donald Trump and his entire administration are a raging maniacs.

    "Health care associations"

No one knows how that will work out or if it'll will even happen for sure. Trump says a lot of things that never seem to materialize or work out as planned.

"NAFTA REDO done in a couple months or decision to withdraw."

There is nothing to suggest anything will be done on NAFTA in the next couple of months. NAFTA is a campaign promise fail. We've been hearing the NAFTA promises since before Trump was elected. They've had like seven meetings on this and conversations seemed to have stalled until after Mexico's presidential election.

"Tariffs will have been in effect on China and other countries."

No tariffs have been applied to China or anyone else yet and no guarantee there will be.

"We may also have a new trade deal with Japan."

May have and having are two different things. Furthermore, a trade deal in itself isn't necessarily a guarantee that it will be a good plan.

"If the meeting goes well with North Korea, then US will sign the new South Korean Trade Agreement."

    "IF"?

"We've already negotiated new deals with 6 other countries that were part of the TPP"

What 6 countries are those and what trade treaty has Trump signed with them?

"Troops are on the border, so we should see significant reductions on border crossings in a month or so and by summer."

I certainly hope so but any notable impact in reducing illegal immigration remains to be seen.

"agencies tasked with dealing with this Catch and Release will have their ideas for solutions alternative to changing the law"

Ideas are far from actual action and results.

There sure are a lot of if, may, and possibles in there. Instead of getting excited about what may be, think I'll wait until what actually is. That's the hard lesson I learned long ago when it comes to depending on anything where politics is involved.

Whatever this or that poll may say, there is massive demoralization among Trump's base and we are not energized because of Trumps reversals on key issues such as amnesty for illegal aliens.

All of the energy is on the left and each day DACA continues and Congress keeps pushing for Amnesty conservatives recoil from the elections while Democrats make gains.
