Bush chief of staff Card says Trump might want to bite his tongue on occasion

He billed it as a sort of pro tip for politicians, but Andrew Card, the George W. Bush chief of staff, could have been speaking to any of us in a cable-news interview early Friday:
‘Taste your words before you spit them out.’
Andrew Card
The immediate target audience was President Donald Trump, of course, in the context of polls suggesting that even supporters wish he’d be more mindful of what he says and, in particular, tweets. But the cautionary words about words were not tailored to the current president.
A veteran of the Reagan and George H.W. Bush White Houses before George W. Bush’s, Card conceded he’s given the taste-your-words advice frequently to those seeking, and seeking to maintain, public office. So, yeah, good, well-worn advice. If, perhaps, a touch risky. As far as can be readily determined, New Hampshire, Card’s home state, has since 1903 prohibited spitting on sidewalks and in other public places.

LOL!! This just struck me as so funny. Card, so polite and politically correct, telling Trump to bite his tongue on occasion. That's like telling a bull dog not to slobber so much.
