On the day when we celebrate the women who gave us birth, it’s worth remembering that many mothers are grieving the loss of a child, or several children, instead of basking in their loving embrace. One of those women is Sabine Durden, whose son Dominic was taken from her by a previously deported criminal alien who had 2 DUIs and a felony conviction.

Today is a day for sharing your love with your mother-if you’re lucky enough to have her-but it’s also a moment for reflecting on the needless grief and agony caused by our government’s deranged indulgence of trans-national criminality. The people who cross our border illegally are not the only humans with mothers. There are also American citizens who have mothers, and they are entitled to the security which Dominic never received.

There is no way this can ever be made right for these families. It's such a betrayal of the trust between citizens and government. My heart breaks for all the parents and spouses and children and other loved ones and friends of those who lost their lives because they were killed by illegal aliens who shouldn't have even been in our country to begin with.
