Trump Vows 'Harsh Measures' If Dems Don't Close 'Loopholes'

President Donald Trump on Tuesday threatened to take "harsh measures" if congressional Democrats do not take action against immigration loopholes.

Trump tweeted Tuesday morning:

"Democrats in Congress must vote to close the terrible loopholes at the Southern Border. If not, harsh measures will have to be taken!"

The White House has requested billions in emergency funds from Congress to stop migrants from entering the country at the U.S.-Mexico border. However, Democrats in control of the House are reluctant to agree.

"So you create chaos, and then ask for more money?" Rep. Katherine Clark, D-Mass., the vice chair of the House Democratic Caucus, told Politico, referring to the White House.

"Not that we're trying to validate or not validate [Trump's claims], there are a lot of people there at the border," said Rep. Henry Cuellar, D-Texas, whose district lies on the border with Mexico. "I don't call it a security crisis, I call it a humanitarian crisis. So, the question is how do we get to address that?"

Presidential counselor Kellyanne Conway told "Fox & Friends" that same morning that Republican legislators will meet with Trump at the White House on Tuesday to discuss his immigration plans. In her remarks, Conway also criticized Democrats in Congress.

"They have to stop pretending they want to reform the immigration laws," she said. "If they're serious about immigration reform they should come to the table and fix something."

The billions were not for stopping, they were for feeding them, housing them, rescuing them.

The request includes $3.3 billion for humanitarian assistance and $1.1 billion for border operations, and represents a dramatic escalation of the administration’s efforts to address the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Trump is all hat and no cattle. Nobody takes his threats seriously anymore.

AFTER 1 BILLON ARE RELEASED AND DUMPED ON US WITH THEIR COSTS AND DISEASES!!!

#DoNothingDon and #TrumpTalks is making noise and threats again he has no intention of following through on.

If there were HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of people in the streets yelling and screaming against what's going on, he might actually do something or at least pretend to do something, in order to calm everybody down.

Does anybody RECALL that Tea Party rally in Washington DC right after Communist Obama got into office in 2009? I think it was the summer right after he got sworn in. There was 1 MILLION PEOPLE in DC. How that could ever happen, to this day, I don't know, but it happened. And the tone of that rally was way TOO NICE. It should have been a little bit more forceful. WE NEED ANOTHER 1 OF THOSE NOW AND FAST, but I don't think it's possible to do something like that again because the DUMBING DOWN of America is so much more advanced than it was even 10 years ago.
