Newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron showered high praise on President Trump's "capacity to listen" after meeting the U.S. president at the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Italy, The Associated Press reported Saturday.

"I found someone who is open and willing to deal well with us," Macron said.

Macron's commendations of Trump followed tense discussions between G7 members about whether Trump would withdraw the United States from the Paris climate deal. Trump was the only leader who declined to pledge his support for the agreement, saying on Saturday he'd make a final decision on the deal next week.

If the U.S. withdraws from the Paris deal, it would become the first of 195 countries to do so.

Trump's refusal to pledge support for the climate agreement particularly irked German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who was also at the G7 summit. She called the talks "unsatisfactory," according to the AP.

But Macron, who was elected earlier this month, spoke more fondly of his discussions with Trump, recalling that the two men were able to communicate respectfully and productively.

"I saw a leader with strong opinions on a number of subjects, which I share in part - the fight against terrorism, the willingness to keep our place in the family of nations - and with whom I have disagreements that we spoke about very calmly. I saw someone who listens and who is willing to work," he said.

    Thank you, President Macron!!

We will have our disagreements, because our situations are very different. Our country has enormous debt that is a grotesque anchor around the necks of very American because at some point it must be paid off. The debt has arisen from horrible devastating trade and immigration policies that our country because of our beautiful capitalist system of economics could never afford.

Those of US who know how our system works knew that, but we lost to the socialist globalists who want to make money from free trade and then expect taxpayers to pay for the socialist programs to deal with the poverty it creates. Perhaps that works in Europe, but it does not work here nor do we want it to.

We want to make the majority of our own products, be paid great wages to do so, support ourselves with our incomes and only tax our citizens to pay for those necessities of government with some safety nets for the rough times and of course for our retired workers which the workers and their employers pay for. That is our system which with the proper trade protections gave the United States the highest standard of living, the best educations, the leadership in innovation, and balanced budgets with ample to spare.

But in just 2 to 3 decades, the advent of the other way has virtually destroyed and bankrupted our country. Our dear President Trump has a huge load to carry, enormous burdens to fix and monumental problems to solve while still protecting our liberty and civil rights.

So please understand and it seems you do that for now we must attend to our own nation, America First, while still being engaged in lots of proper international trade and diplomatic agendas to promote peace.

So please do your thing but do not pressure US any more to do what is not in our best interest.

We value France, we might not even be a nation without France, something Americans will never forget, and we hope the French people will always remember US for what we have done for France. And remember Russia for what they have done for us all. Russia had the highest casualties of any country during WWII, 28 million.

Russia is also the only country who declined economic aid from the United States after the War, the country who needed it the most refused to accept it when it was offered to them. This is the nobility and independence of Russia. So it is no wonder is it that the Russian people ask "why does the West not like us?" A damn good question if you ask me, since the "west" would not exist as we know it, but for the Russians.

Germany needs to pay up to NATO or shut up! How can you be part of something when you don't pay your fair share of dues. Then Merkel come's to the meeting like she own the place. Then turns around and has a meeting with newest Trump shadow Obama. NATO has become debunk and useless.

When Trump wouldn't shake Merkels hand I laughed so hard I was crying. I so am glad we have a President with his own mind and not bowing to these Globalist.

Merkel is a strange bird if you ask me. Conniving, pushing that Paris Accord so Germany can make billions selling over-priced solar panels to poor countries. She thinks she likes China now, but wait until their solar panels undercut Germany's. Germany honestly needs to keep a low-profile. The world who remembers is quite fed up with Germany and its hegemonous cliques. She doesn't want to waste her money on their own defense or defending other countries, oh no, she wants to be a salesman for solar panels, free trade that creates deficits for other countries, and oh my God using her authoritarianism to flood Germany and other EU countries with all these crazy refugees.

Better lay off the beer, Angela. You're pissing off all the wrong people.
