Donald Trump, Ted Cruz battle over delegates, debates -- and families

In the wake of personal accusations against each other, Donald Trump and Ted Cruz opened new lines of attack against each other Sunday on delegates and debates.

Trump accused Cruz of trying to steal Republican convention delegates from him, while the Texas senator said the New York businessman is afraid to debate because he knows so little about the issues.

Responding to reports that Cruz may wind up with more delegates in Louisiana even though Trump took more votes in the state, Trump told ABC's This Week that "it tells you what a crooked system we have and what a rotten political system we have."

Attacking both Cruz and the GOP in general, Trump said that "I have a guy going around trying to steal people's delegates," and "what's going on in the Republican Party is a disgrace."

For his part, Cruz told Fox News Sunday that Trump is engaged in personal attacks because he can't discuss substance, and referenced the fact that Trump withdrew from a scheduled debate last week in Salt Lake City. "That's why he's afraid to debate, why he refuses to debate because when he debates: His lack of understanding of the challenge facing America becomes evident for everyone to see," Cruz told Fox.

Cruz is trying to catch Trump, who leads him in delegates 739 to 465, or at least keep the frontrunner from winning the necessary 1,237 delegates on the first ballot at the July convention. Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who has 143 delegates, is also looking to block Trump.

On their Sunday show appearances, Trump and Cruz renewed their personal feud.

Trump again blamed Cruz for a Super PAC ad showing a nearly nude photo of his wife, former model Melania Trump, and said that made Cruz's wife Heidi fair game in the campaign. "He's the one that started it," Trump told ABC.

Cruz told Fox he had nothing to do with the Super PAC ad on Trump's wife, and found it "deplorable." The Texas senator said Trump is using it an excuse to attack Heidi Cruz. "It is inappropriate. It is wrong -- it is, frankly, disgusting to see a candidate attacking the spouse of another," Cruz said.

Meanwhile, Cruz accused Trump's "henchmen" of engineering a National Enquirer story saying that the senator is being investigated for extramarital affairs. The story is "lies" and "garbage," Cruz told Fox, and are "indicative of just how low Donald Trump will go."

Trump denied Cruz's claims, telling ABC that "the National Enquirer did a story -- it was their story."

Kasich, meanwhile, told NBC's Meet The Press that families should be "off limits" in campaigns, and he expressed regret over the tone of the Republican race. "If this becomes the order of the day, what kind of people are we going to have in the future that are going to run for public office?" Kasich said. "There's got to be some rules, and there's got to be something that gets set there ... Some decency."

Oh now that's funny! Ted who is for legalization of illegal aliens before he's against it. Ted who is against deporting illegal aliens until he's for it. Ted who is for TPP before he's against it. Ted who is against the EX-IM Bank renewal which forced Boeing to open its first plant ever outside of the United States in China due to lack of export financing the EX-IM Bank provided to US manufacturers producing in the United States.

Ted who is against eminent domain but supports the oil industry that is dead in the water without it. Ted who wants to fight ISIS by "carpet bombing" Syria where you can't tell an ISIS from a Syrian. Ted who wants to treat Putin and NATO like it was still 1945.

Ted who has never earned a dime outside of government jobs or government-funded law jobs. Ted who is against those mobsters on Wall Street all the while using his wife's employer, Goldman-Sachs, one of the chosen "winners" of the financial bail-out to secretly provide him funds to run for the US Senate, lied to the public about where he got the money and of course had to NOT include the loans on his FEC statement, a violation of law, to perpetuate the fraud.

Ted who is yet to win a debate while Donald Trump has won them all. Ted who is against involving spouses in negative ads unless it's his PAC attacking Trump's wife.

Ted whose PAC donates $500,000 to the Carly Fiorina campaign, whose campaign manager is one of the 5 women rumored to have had sex with him, whose candidate Carly is now trailing Ted around on the campaign slutting for a VP Slot ... oh dreamers they are.

Well, Ted, Dreamin' ain't Debatin' and insolence isn't issues.

Donald Trump doesn't want to do any more debates because he thinks they're boring to the public with the candidates being asked the same questions over and over again and there's more important things to be done at this point with the time available.

Ted. Say Buh Bye to that VP Slot, Slut. That's right, you're a slut. You're a big oil hooker, a Wall Street slut, and now you're the Establishment's office monkey. And to most people, that is just not ..... Presidential.

This has been quite a week for you, Ted. You had the whole week to limelight yourself while Trump was on Easter Vacation, and you used it talking about copulating with rats, denying responsibility for campaigns ads of almost nude women asking for their votes, calling Trump a "sniveling coward" and "sleazy Donald" for standing up for his wife, and what else .... oh yeah, defending yourself against nasty sex scandal rumors which someone has named the "Cuban Mistress Crisis" and of course blaming Donald Trump for your open zipper problems.

By comparison, Donald Trump was at his lovely home in Florida with his whole family for their traditional Easter Holiday. They all gather every year with all the kids and grand-kids and have all types of fun Easter activities, making Bunny Cakes and decorating Easter Eggs. Today they went to church and around supper time, Ivanka had her new baby.

Well, I tell you what, Teddy Boy, if I didn't know another thing about either one of you, I'd go with Trump's Bunny Cakes and Easter Eggs instead of your X-rated circus show.
