U.S. Government Sued and Settled to Legalize Hundreds of Thousands of Illegals
by Sara Noble • August 31, 2014
The U.S. government settled an illegal immigration lawsuit brought by the ACLU and it will legalize hundreds of thousands. It should be looked upon with suspicion.
Pretending to “settle” was a successful administrative technique used in environmental cases over the last several years. They used the “sue and settle” suits successfully to steal land for environmental causes and they could be using it to encourage illegal immigration in a recent deportation case.
In the environmental sue and settle cases, radical environmental groups have teamed with the Department of the Interior to misuse the Endangered Species Act to seize and control land in the West.
An unnecessary settlement in an illegal immigration case should be looked upon with suspicion.
The ACLU sued on behalf of eleven illegal immigrants who self-deported. The government settled instead of challenging the lawsuit. There is no reason for them to settle. They settled because they wanted to settle. Mr. Obama wants illegals it pour into our country.
Not only will many deportees be allowed to return, the federal government has agreed to advertise the settlement on Mexican and Spanish-language media outlets to bring them all back.
The deportees covered will be “longtime California residents with relatives who are U.S. citizens and… young migrants whose parents brought them into the country illegally” who deported themselves between 2009 and 2013.
“This is a historic settlement that will end a practice that tears families apart,” said Norma Chavez Peterson, executive director of the ACLU of San Diego and Imperial counties.
The ACLU claims there are 250,000 of them and the LA Times said it could reach into the hundreds of thousands.
It only covers Southern California though it will no doubt be applied nationally.
If there are hundreds of thousands from Southern California alone, it will easily go into the millions if it goes nationally.
The feds said they won’t use force or intimidation to encourage people to self-deport to protect “immigrants’ rights.”
“Federal agents will be banned from using threats or pressure. They must advise people of their right to a hearing and provide them access to an informational hot line and a list of free legal service providers”, according to the LA Times.
That’s very concerning. This government takes advantage of every opportunity to prevent law enforcement from doing their job.
“At every turn, they’re tying our hands,” said Gabe Pacheco, a spokesman for the National Border Patrol Council, the union representing border patrol agents.
Laughably, the LA Times wrote this: The Obama administration in recent years has worked to demonstrate its commitment to border security.
Citizens rights are not even being considered.
The U.S. government will use taxpayer money to buy ads online, in print, on billboards, on Spanish-language TV, and on radio stations to get to all these deportees and to bring them back.
There is little doubt that there will be many frauds who don’t meet the requirements. It’s an open invitation.
