U.S.-Style Gang Culture Arrives In Snowy Northern Finland, Police In Shock

Being mugged in broad daylight is something you must worry about in “diverse” areas of U.S. cities, “diverse” being leftist code for massively non-white.
In December last year, a gun-wielding young black man mugged and robbed an elderly white woman at 11:20 a.m. “in one of the city’s most upscale neighborhoods,” as a Fox News anchor called Chicago’s Lakeview.
He snatched her purse before driving off [Brazen daylight robbery of elderly Chicago woman at gunpoint caught on camera, by Pilar Arias, December 15, 2022]. However, being robbed in the middle of the day is not something you expect to worry about in Northern Finland.
Or at least it wasn’t until the Ruling Class began importing “refugees” from Africa and the Middle East.

Oulu, population 200,000 and the largest city in northern Finland, has undergone quite a process of enrichment over the last 20 years.
As I’ve reported before, in 2005—shortly after the city first accepted “refugees”—these “asylum-seeking” young men cut off a woman’s clitoris with a pair of scissors and jammed them into her vagina.
Through the next few years, Middle Eastern “refugees” raped and gang-raped local women in city-center parks.
In 2018, the city made international headlines when news emerged that Muslim grooming gangs—Middle Eastern “refugees,” again—groomed and raped local girls aged between 10 and 14, one of whom had committed suicide.
The local newspapers tried to hide the truth with stories about “youths” of “foreign background”—though sometimes even this term was omitted—but were forced to admit what was really happening. Senior Finnish politicians were compelled to condemn the crimes. Angry protesters demonstrated in front of city hall. The police told Oulu parents to monitor their daughters’ online activities with “foreign-background” males.
So, for the girls and women of Oulu, the enrichment of racial and religious diversity has meant that they can’t walk alone at night and, if they are as young at 10, they risk being “groomed” and raped. But at least they’re safe during the day in a group, right?
Wrong. The 2018 grooming scandal was centered around a relatively new shopping mall in Oulu called Valkea. Somewhere to “hang around” in the biting Finnish winter, young “refugee” men idled there, as would Finnish teen and pre-teen girls who were too young to go to bars.
The “refugees” groomed them by plying them with alcohol. But, now, the inevitable march of enrichment has captured a further citadel of civilized life: being safe in broad daylight.
On March 8, the tabloid IltaLehti ran this headline: A gang of 10 youths violently robbed minors in Oulu, the loot was a beanie—Police: “It’s going crazy” [10 hengen nuorisojoukko ryösti alaikäiset väkivaltaisesti Oulussa, saaliiksi pipo—Poliisi: ”Menee ihan hulluksi,” by Jussi Korhonen, March 8, 2023]. “Ten youths,” leftist code for young non-whites, attacked two Finns who were under 18 in the shopping center at 4 p.m. They tore the victims’ clothes and mildly injured them to steal a “beanie.”
Oulu’s chief of police, Irmeli Korhonen, expressed her amazement.
“It’s going crazy,” she told the newspaper. She was especially shocked that such violence was used to steal a hat. The newspaper paraphrased her as saying that a lot of “youths” in Oulu idealize American black gang culture. They want to wear the kind of clothes that American gangs wear. “They themselves would probably like to be called gangs,” said the police chief.
She was also flabbergasted by the speed at which Oulu has changed. She told IltaLehti
Just a few months ago, I would have said that we don’t have the same kind of street robbery as they do in southern Finland, but yes, I am starting to worry a little about where Oulu is going. The development can be a cultural phenomenon that arrives in Oulu just like anywhere else.
In other words, southern Finland, especially the capital, Helsinki, was “culturally enriched” earlier. Only now has the same level of “cultural enrichment” reached the largest city in the north.
And what is Korhonen’s advice to parents? They should not let their teens go to Valkea on their own.
They should go with them and monitor them. In other words, Finns must adapt to “enrichment,” which really means that Oulu is no longer safe for its own people. Where once young people were perfectly safe, night and day, they must now fear rape, grooming and robbery in a shopping mall in the afternoon.
But there’s much more. Two days after the beanie robbery, a boy under the age of 15 stabbed a similar-aged boy in the face in the immigrant-heavy Oulu suburb of Kaukovainio at 5.pm. … in public, in the street, and again, when it was still light. Readers can make an educated guess about the Finnishness-level of these “youths.”
As I reported in 2017, Finland—once part of Sweden—has a sad and self-destructive habit of looking up to its more important neighbor and imitating everything it does.
This includes introducing multiculturalism against the wishes of its people and, taking a homogenous, law-abiding, and safe if rather dull country and turning parts of it into Chicago and Detroit.
In Swedish cities, young girls are prosecuted for carrying pepper-spray to defend themselves.
On March 3, a 35-year-old Iranian attacked a 10-year-old Dutch girl with a knife.
She was walking in a park in immigrant-heavy Gothenburg with her Swedish grandmother. The little girl suffered multiple stab wounds, including to the stomach, while the grandmother, trying to defend her granddaughter, was wounded in the arm [Sweden: 10-Year-Old Girl Violently Attacked; Suspect in Custody, by Robert Semonsen, The European Conservative, March 6, 2023].
If opinion polls about the upcoming Finnish General Election on April 2 are correct, voters will likely install a new government, led by the center-right National Coalition Party. The anti-immigrant Finns Party, currently the second largest party in Parliament, is predicted to increase its vote share compared to the last election, but still to fall into third place behind Prime Minister Sanna Marin’s Social Democrats.
We can only hope that, as in Sweden, the Finns Party gets enough votes to effectively control the government, and make the government rely upon it to pass legislation.
