RECONCILIATION BLUEPRINT

The blueprint for budget reconciliation was released this morning. In a memo sent to all Senate Democrats, the Budget Committee announced that it was authorizing the Judiciary Committee to spend up to $107 billion on items within its jurisdiction to include:

Lawful permanent status for qualified immigrants

We won't know the size of the amnesty until the Senate Judiciary Committee sends its report to the Budget Committee, but Democrats have been saying that the amnesty for millions of illegal aliens would include:

• illegal aliens who have received the DACA executive amnesty;
• illegal aliens who have receive Temporary Protected Status;
• illegal farmworkers; and
• illegal "essential" workers.

THE TIMELINE

The Senate will begin debate of the budget reconciliation instructions later today or Tuesday morning. The Chamber will also hold a lengthy vote-a-rama on amendments.

Our Capitol Hill team is working to identify immigration-related amendments that will be offered during the vote-a-rama. As we learn of those amendments, we'll notify you of any possible activism opportunities.

After all amendments are considered and the debate time expires, the Senate will vote on the budget reconciliation instructions. Remember Democrats only need a simple majority to pass the instructions in the Senate -- all 50 Democratic Senators plus VP Kamala Harris to break the tie.
