In his State of the Union address, the President made it clear that the most important contest we face today is not between Democrats and Republicans, but rather America’s contest with competitors across the globe for the jobs and industries of the future - 50 million strong, Hispanics play a critical role in our nation’s ability to win the future.


Earlier this week we launched Winning the Future: President Obama’s Agenda and the Hispanic Community, www.WhiteHouse.gov/Hispanic and a series of community conversations across the country with Administration Officials to discuss the President's agenda and the Hispanic community.


TODAY at 6pm ET/5pm CT/4pm MT/3pm PT, the White House will be host a conference call with community leaders across the country and Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, Cecilia Munoz and White House Director of Public Engagement Jon Carson, to discuss these announcements.

Was on hold for over 5 minutes.....Not done many conference calls, but lots of piped music coming through; eventually hung up......

What stratgedy/agenda would Obama have with the Hispanic community that wouldn't include the rest of America? Are they special or something?
