    Art’s Bio:

Art Bedford is an Air Force retiree who spent 39 years as a communications Intelligence Collector and Analyst. He was born and raised in Northern New Jersey but claims Texas as his home. He has a Bachelors degree in Management from Texas State University at San Marcos, formerly Southwest Texas State. He is the Chairman of Texans for Initiative & Referendum Rights, a non-profit project whose sole purpose is to obtain for Texans the right of direct binding initiative and referendum for state laws and constitutional amendments. Art is also the State Coordinator for the Citizens in Charge Foundation, another non-profit national organization dedicated to promoting the initiative & referendum process. He is also an active member of the Texas Border Volunteers, a group dedicated to assisting law enforcement officials with securing the border, upholding the rule of law and educating the general public with regard to immigration issues. Finally, he is a member of the National Tea Party Immigration Coalition dedicated to stopping illegal immigration, really securing our borders, and preventing amnesty from becoming law. He and his wife, Loretta, reside in San Augustine, Texas.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!! Request the Presidential candidates to visit our Texas border area

While “jobs”, the economy, and the deficit are certainly important to the majority of voters, illegal immigration, the terrorist threat it poses, and the drug cartel violence spreading over our southern border are prominent issues in our state. In fact, there can be no substantive discussion about jobs, budgets, the cost of health care, the cost of education, or the cost of social services, unless the issue of illegal immigration is also addressed. This issue has not been adequately addressed in any candidate’s campaigning and certainly not in the mainstream media debates. No candidate who visited Arizona raised the issue himself or even bothered to travel to the border area to see how safe it really is.

That is why the Texas Border Volunteers joined with over 50 (thus far) TEA Party and TEA Party-like groups and formed an alliance for the express purpose of requesting the Presidential candidates visit our Texas border area and take part in a teleconference devoted solely to finding out where they stand on illegal immigration and border security. Our alliance is named the TEA Party Coalition of Texas, and we have just sent the invitations out. Now, WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

We need you to do these 3 things:

    (1) CALL the candidate’s campaign staff and ask them to accept the invitation to the Texas border area sent to them by the Tea Party Coalition of Texas. An itinerary has already been planned.

    Newt Gingrich678-973-2306

    Ron Paul855-886-9779

    Mitt Romney857-288-3500

(2)CALL your local and national radio talk show hosts and ask them AND their listeners do the same.

(3)ATTEND any event any of the candidates put on in your area, be it a town hall meeting or a media event and ASK them these questions or your own border security or immigration questions:

•Most recently it was estimated services provided just to educate, medicate, and incarcerate illegal aliens cost taxpayers over $114 billion a year. In 2004 the former Bear Stearns estimated trillions of dollars a year go unpaid to the IRS as a result of illegal aliens being paid “off the books.” Considering the current dire economic conditions in this country what steps would you take to reduce this financial burden placed on the American taxpayer by elected or appointed officials who refuse to uphold and enforce our laws?

•If elected, would you DROP the current unwarranted law suits by our DOJ in Alabama, Arizona and any other States that passed illegal immigration laws this year?

•Would you also reinstate the funding to all the counties that implemented 287g, and promote & grow coverage to additional counties?

•In addition to drug cartel criminal activities and violence on our Southwest border, the threat of terrorist infiltration there has increased at an alarming rate. Hundreds of illegal aliens apprehended entering the US each year come from countries known to support and sponsor terrorism. Given the facts that Federal law enforcement apprehends only 10 to 30 percent of illegal aliens and that members of Hezbollah have already entered the United States across our southern border, what specific actions would you take to secure our borders to prevent terrorist entry?

Let us know if you were successful in any of these requests.

If we are going to take our country back WE ALL MUST GET INVOLVED!.

    God Bless,

There's only one candidate now, and he already knows what America's real problem is, and as a business man he knows the fastest easiest way to bring down the unemployment rate is return 9 million American jobs to Americans!

I'm glad Mitt got the nod, I believe he will be a good President and quite possibly the best President we've had in a long long time. I know there are some folks weary of Romney, and I truly believe he will redeem himself in your eyes. I don't know about anyone else, but I have had a pretty good week and haven't had one of those in a very long time!
