Report: 57% of Clinton Charity Money in 2015 Went to Clinton Foundation

Report: 57% of Clinton Charity Money in 2015 Went to Clinton Foundation

    Monday, 26 Sep 2016 03:15 PM

Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill disbursed almost 60 percent of their donations towards charity to their own non-profit Clinton Foundation, The Washington Free Beacon reported.

Last month, the Daily Caller reported that the Clintons transferred 96 percent of their charitable donations to the Clinton Family Foundation, which is a separate and larger entity than the Clinton Foundation.

Both the Clinton Foundation and Clinton Family Foundation are charitable entities used by the Clintons. The Clintons' charitable money is first transferred to the Clinton Family Foundation followed by checks allocated to different charities.

The Clintons contributed $2,630,500 to charities last year from the family foundation, according to a review of the Clinton Family Foundation's 2015 Form 990 accessed by the Free Beacon through the assistant of Clinton's tax lawyer.

Among other donations were $30,000 to Yale University, $50,000 to Georgetown University, $20,000 to the Wildlife Conservation Society, and $25,000 to Hippy USA, according to the report.

So far, the majority of the donations from the Clinton Family Foundation have landed up at the Clinton Foundation. The Clintons transferred $1.5 million of the $2.6 million donations, which is 57 percent, in 2015 from Clinton Family Foundation to Clinton Foundation.

According to recent tax returns, of the $1,042,000 to charity, 96 percent which equals $1 million, went to the Clinton Family Foundation.

In 2014, the Clintons showed $3.7 million towards charity with $1.8 million (48 percent) of the amount being siphoned into the Clinton Foundation.
Since 2007, the largest contribution every year from the Clinton Family Foundation has gone to the Clinton Foundation.

Between 2007 and 2015, the Clintons have dispensed a massive $16,001,450 towards charity. However, of that total, $15,769,000 went to the Clinton Family Foundation, from which $5,812,000 was then channelled to other charities.

I would be curious what charities the money actually went to. Anyone in our country, I mean besides the Clinton Crime Family?

Just 5.7 percent of the Clinton Foundation’s massive 2014 budget actually went to charitable grants, according to the tax-exempt organization’s IRS filings. The rest went to salaries and employee benefits, fundraising and “other expenses.”

The Clinton Foundation spent a hair under $91.3 million in 2014, the organization’s IRS filings show. But less than $5.2 million of that went to charitable grants.

That number pales in comparison to the $34.8 million the foundation spent on salaries, compensation and employee benefits.
Another $50.4 million was marked as “other expenses,” while the remaining almost $851K was marked as “professional fundraising expenses.”

Despite taking in an additional $30 million in 2014, the Clinton Foundation spent 40 percent less on charitable grants in 2014 than in 2013. Even as it slashed charitable spending, the foundation increased the amount spent on salaries, employee benefits and compensation by $5 million in 2014. The foundation also spent $5 million more “other expenses” in 2014.Do You Think The Clinton Foundation Was A Success Or A Failure?

Sean Davis at The Federalist notes, “the bulk of the charitable work lauded by the Clinton Foundation’s boosters — the distribution of drugs to impoverished people in developing countries — is no longer even performed by the Clinton Foundation. Those activities were spun off in 2010 and are now managed by the Clinton Health Access Initiative, a completely separate non-profit organization.”(RELATED: Clinton Foundation Deceived IRS On Tax Exemption From The Start)As first reported by The Daily Caller, the IRS launched an investigation into the Clinton Foundation this past July after 64 House Republicans called the foundation a “lawless ‘pay-to-play’ enterprise that has been operating under a cloak of philanthropy for years and should be investigated” in a letter to the IRS, FBI and Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
