Wayne Allen Root calls for nationwide voter ID and the immediate arrest of all “sanct
As part of their plan to prevent voter fraud and ensure election integrity, planners adopted a measure requiring everyone who voted to dip their finger in purple paint to show they had already cast a ballot (and, thus, could not cast another).
It was a rudimentary but effective and sensible ‘voter ID’ measure that Left-wing Democrats in America would never tolerate — because, again, such a method was relatively cheat-proof and, well, Democrats in America love to ‘tamper’ with elections and engage in voter fraud.
Libertarian commentator and one-time vice presidential contender Wayne Allen Root has a sensible plan of his own to stamp out vote fraud in the U.S. as well as all Left-wing attempts to rig elections by using millions of people who not only don’t have a right to vote but also have no legal right to even be in America.
In his latest column, he says it’s time for POTUS Donald Trump to adopt some “bold” moves when it comes to securing our border and taking on the hundreds of state and local jurisdictions around the country that have declared themselves “sanctuaries” for illegal aliens. With the political winds at his back — a roaring economy that outpaced every ‘expert’ forecast in the first quarter, another record Wall Street finish last week, and being officially cleared of “Russian collusion” — now is the time for the president to act, Root says:
He won with his National Security Emergency. Trump will build his wall- without any help from Congress. Days ago, the Supreme Court ruled Trump can detain illegals indefinitely while awaiting asylum hearings. Experts are confident based on the Supreme Court justices’ reactions, Trump is about to win a major victory with his citizenship question on the census.
And most impressive of all, the Trump administration just indicted a liberal activist Massachusetts judge who helped a twice-deported illegal alien escape from ICE in the middle of her courtroom. Yes, a sitting judge was just indicted for conspiracy to obstruct justice, obstruction of justice, aiding and abetting, and obstruction of a federal proceeding. Now that’s bold.
Two executive orders are needed right away
Now, while the “iron is hot,” the president should issue a pair of executive orders Root says:
— One, mandate use of a government-issued identification for all federal elections, so that Democrats will not be able to flood polling stations next year with fake ballots ‘harvested’ from illegal voters. He says he was “hounded day and night — in Spanish” to vote illegally by “Soros-funded voter organizations” because they mistakenly had his name on their lists.
“Trump needs to end Democrat voter fraud once and for all,” Root said. “We desperately need Voter ID.” He adds that POTUS Trump certainly can order an ID for federal elections and, when it’s challenged, as it will be, seek an expedited ruling from the Supreme Court to get it upheld.
— Two, the president should issue an EO requiring the arrest of any local or state official who provides illegal aliens with sanctuaries aimed at forbidding police from either assisting federal immigration authorities or actively working against them by ignoring detainer requests. “Politicians and officials of Sanctuary cities and states are breaking the law, obstructing justice, and aiding and abetting criminals — just like that judge” who was arrested last week.
Root correctly points out that the rule of law is really all that matters if we are to have a viable republic with a future.
“It’s time to send a message” that the law must be obeyed, he writes. “It’s time to set an example.”
