I do not wish to take any ALIPAC efforts and resources away from the battle against NY Governor Elliot "Emperor" Spitzer. I urge you to continue your work in calling and e-mailing the Assembly regarding thiis urgent isse. However, if you make a little time to contact Senators to tell them not to ratify the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), it would be much appreciated. Below is some background information:

October 24, 2007 -- McLean, VA - Senator Fred Thompson issued the following statement today on ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty:
"I oppose the ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty at this time. The Treaty threatens U.S. sovereignty and gives a U.N.-affiliated organization far too much authority over U.S. interests in international waters.
The American people also deserve ironclad assurances that the problems with the treaty highlighted by President Reagan more than two decades ago have been fixed. At a time when customary international law in this area has proven sufficient, I believe the efforts of treaty proponents would be better spent reforming the United Nations.
Until such reforms are complete, I see little reason for the U.S. to move forward on the Law of the Sea Treaty."

Here is just some of the devestating aspects of the LOST Treaty:

It will give the U.N. control over 70% of the world's oceans. It is not a stretch to see that "he who controls the oceans, controls the land."

It will extend foreign bureaucrats and the U.N.'s reach into our Constitution, thereby reducing our soverignity to nil.

The U.N. will have certain controls over the U.S. military and by signing the treaty we will have to comply.

The U.S. will no longer be able to stop ships on the high seas for terrorism, the LOST treaty doesn't allow it.

It opens any and all resolutions to international courts, which have always beeen historically anti-American.

The U.N. has been trying to get this treaty passed since the Reagan administration. Regan deep sixed it, but now the proponents are finding globalists politicians imbedded in the U.S. Congress and only too willing to give up our soverignity.

NOTE: The treaty is waiting in committee for the next markup, likely to occur within the next few weeks. Should it come out of committee (which is likely), it will then go to the Senate floor for vote. Senator Vitter (R-LA) is a very vocal critic of this treaty, call and show him some love.

AMEN, AMEN, AND AMEN. I have already been sounding the Alarm on this devastating attempt to submit America even further to foreign and international hands, with the ultimate goal of a loss of our sovereignty.

Mike Huckabee mentioned this at the Presidental Debate last weekend and he also commented that most people have no idea that this treaty is looming on the horizon for possible passage.

CALL, CALL, CALL AND EMAIL EVERYONE - This is something that very few know about, citizens especially, and the word must get out. I have been passing out fliers detailing about LOST (LAW OF THE SEA TREATY) and a commentary from Family Security on this treaty.

This is urgent for us to act upon. These treaties will take from and end America as we know it.

I have been addressing this issue for about 3 weeks now. If we allow this treaty to pass and fall into the hands of the U.N. we are doomed.

We do not need to be giving the U.N. more power and control over our rights as a sovereign nation. As a sovereign nation we should control our own destiny. It's all part of the globalist agenda.

Ratification of the "Law of Sea Treaty"; why anyone in their right mind would sign this piece of crap is beyond reason.

The United Nations has proven its self worthless over and over again. Not only is it corrupt its useless! Why in the world we continue to fund them is ludicrous.

Even thinking of ratification of the "Law of Sea Treaty" with the United Nations is insane!

Call, email, fax NO to the Law of the Sea Treaty. We have seen how our Senators and Representatives will sell us and America to others without much reservation.

Contact those on your email lists also. Spread the word so others will call too.

Talk Radio needs to receive emails and calls in regard to this. Laura Ingraham, Rush, Glenn Beck, all of them need some emails so they will discuss the dire consequences of this action and give a way.
