What I think about the racially insensitive comments of the Clippers team owner

I'm more worried about the new black mobs roaming many US cities targeting and beating the crap out of white people playing the Polar Bear/Knockout game than some rich old guy's insensitive, yet 1st amendment protected, comments to his girlfriend in a private phone conversation that would be illegal to record in most states!

White guy makes a comment on the phone about blacks and the media goes crazy and everyone is out to destroy him. Black mobs form across the nation hunting white people and the media helps conceal the atrocities. Equality? Don't think so.

We live in dangerous times losing freedom each day, if a man can lose his business over a private remark it is a bad path. Racism is in most people too a degree, in over 50 years of work life I've heard many insensitive remarks made in private however most of the folks who make said remarks treated all people with respect. I repeat this often I judge all people on what they do not what they say, throughout my life I worked with people who I knew did not like me however our dealings were normally fair and honest.

As a country we've become so political correct with speech that in time we will lose all freedom of speech, the media beat the PC speech to death when in fact they in time will lose the most.

The press tore the rancher Bundy to pieces over his remarks when in fact the story should have been about government over reach. We are allowing liberals to become the speech police for our country it must stop if we are to have freedom. While I understand speech can hurt ones feelings being sucker punched on the street if far worse, the press and all people need to get their priorities in order.

The main problems with the Sterling and Bundy's racists comments is they inflame the racial tension and give Racist knock out game criminals more excuses to engage in the activity as well as plays right into Obama's plan to divide the races as much as possible. Right now no one is going to protect us except ourselves against knock out game violence IMO. Obama and this administration is complicit.

Protecting Yourself from the “Knockout Game”

There’s a disturbing trend spreading through America called the “knockout game” where youths attack random, innocent victims by surprise and attempt to knock them out.


This is not two thugs beating the hell out of each other; these animals are attacking ordinary people for no reason other than their own twisted entertainment. More often than not, they select their targets based on perceived weakness—many of the victims have been women and elderly. Several people have even died because of the injuries they sustained.


In New York, a 78-year-old woman simply walking through her neighborhood was punched in the head by a stranger and knocked to the ground. In Washington, a 32-year-old woman was attacked by a mob of teenagers who struck her in the face. In Jersey City, a 46-year-old man died after being sucker-punched and falling into an iron fence.


This is beyond poor judgement, and it certainly is not a game. This is a life and death matter.
My regular readers know that I’m a huge advocate of being prepared for anything, and in this case, a handgun and/or knife could be a game changer—but only if you maintain situational awareness and are prepared to act without hesitation to defend your life.


Avoiding the confrontation, if possible to do so safely, is usually the best option, but it depends on a vigilant awareness of your surroundings, an understanding of human nature, and the ability to read people. My initial motivation to write this article was to give people the knowledge to protect themselves from this “knockout game” epidemic, but these principles are equally effective anywhere, at anytime.


1. Be aware of your environment
In my younger days I felt invincible and would often wander alone through the back streets of third-world countries, day or night. (With age comes wisdom.) Today, I live in the suburbs, so crime—especially violent crime, is pretty rare but things change dramatically in the city and there are many areas I avoid at all costs. You need to know the areas that are relatively safe and the areas that you should avoid. Generally, densely populated and/or poverty-stricken locations have higher rates of crime, but bars, sporting events, and low-visibility areas such as alleys or poorly lit parking lots often breed crime as well.
2. Understand human nature
People seek the path of least resistance—especially criminals. They want a weak target, and if you look like you’re scared of you own shadow, or are so wrapped up in your iPhone that you have no idea what’s going on around you, you’re it. Be alert, carry yourself with confidence, and look people in the eyes. It wouldn’t hurt to stop and look behind you from time to time, or even use the reflection in a store window to check your six.
Many, especially the criminal element, also have a pack mentality. It’s a lot easier for them to attack someone when six of their buddies are standing there ready to back them up, so if you see a group of people who appear to be a threat, be especially aware.
3. Develop the ability to read people
When news reporters interview eye witnesses, you’ll often hear things like “all of a sudden he just started punching the guy” because most people are oblivious to the subtle cues presented long before the altercation. Anytime I’ve seen a fight, it was clear to me that it was going to happen several minutes or longer before words were even exchanged.
It always amazed my wife, as if I had a sixth sense or special Jedi powers, but it’s really quite simple once you know what to look for. They will often stare at (or follow) their intended victim for a considerable amount of time before attacking. They might even strike up a conversation, but it will often be superficial and awkward. You might notice them adjust their clothing to provide a greater range of motion, or pull their cap further down to conceal their face. They may even hand their belongings, like cell phones, keys, or wallet to friends. Often, they will act unusually cocky or nervous, and will probably look around continuously to the point of appearing paranoid.
4. When all else fails, defend yourself with no mercy
If you are forced into a situation where you must defend yourself, do so with absolute commitment and do not stop until the threat ceases to exist. This means that your attacker or attackers should either be dead or incapacitated. This could involve a few well-placed hollow points, several knife cuts to vital organs or arteries, or a flurry of punches and kicks. Don’t expect a single punch to scare these predators away; the only safe way to deal with them to to ensure with complete certainty that they are incapable of continuing their attack.

Well hey, at least she didn’t allow four Americans to die in a terrorist attack in order to protect her political career.

The weird companion of embattled Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling called blacks “crazy” in a video she made for a reality-show pilot about — wait for it — gold diggers.

“I don’t understand black people. The minute you give them a little bit of money, they don’t know what to do with it,” V. Stiviano tells the camera in the short clip.

They “just act crazy. They want to put extra rims. They’re like, ‘Yo, I wanna put extra rims on top of my rims. And my rims are gonna turn around. I’m gonna call them, what? Spinners,’ ” she rambles.

“They do stupid s–t like that when there’s people starving all over the world.”

In another part of the video first reported by TMZ, Stiviano — who is half Mexican and half black — holds an Elmo doll, looks at it and says, “We don’t like black people.”

Stiviano shot to infamy last month when a recording of Sterling telling her not to associate with blacks became public.

Sterling has now filed a $1 billion lawsuit after the being banned by the NBA and forced to sell the Clippers.

The assault took place as Stiviano was leaving a restaurant by the Gansevoort Hotel with her sister and friends.

The men followed her, yelling racial slurs, said Stiviano's attorney Mac Nehoray.

Stiviano didn't immediately file a police report, because "she had to get out of there," Nehoray said.

"I believe she will file a police report Monday," he said.
The incident comes after video surfaced on TMZ that showed Stiviano making disparaging remarks about African-Americans. "I don't understand black people. You give them a little bit of money, they don't know what to do with it," she says in the video that purportedly dates back to 2011 as part of a reality show pilot, TMZ said. CNN reached out to Nehoray for comment on the video but has not received a response.

Sterling's inflammatory remarks to Stiviano spawned outrage among NBA fans, players and executives.

In the recording, Sterling chastises Stiviano for posting pictures online of herself with African-Americans, including NBA legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson. He tells her not to bring Johnson to Clippers games.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver banned Sterling from the league, fined him $2.5 million and pushed through a charge to terminate all of his ownership rights in the franchise.

On Friday, Sterling made it clear that he wasn't going away, suing the NBA for more than $1 billion for its decision.

(CNN) -- One of the men believed by police to be involved in an attack on V. Stiviano, whose tape recording of Donald Sterling ranting against African-Americans led to his NBA lifetime ban, surrendered Tuesday to police, a New York Police Department official familiar with the investigation told CNN.

Police had interviewed the 40-year-old Long Island man at the time of the incident Sunday, the police official said.

The development comes a day after Stiviano filed a formal police complaint in the alleged assault outside a New York hotel.

Stiviano says two men followed her yelling racial slurs, then punched her several times. The blows left the right side of her face red and swollen, Stiviano's attorney, Mac Nehoray said.

"We understand that there are now two videos of the assault that have been located," her lawyer's office said in a statement. "In addition, several witnesses have been come forward with relevant and critical information regarding the facts surrounding the incident and the identity of the assailants."

LOS ANGELES — Shelly Sterling – and the Los Angeles Clippers – scored a clean sweep over Donald Sterling on Monday when a California judge issued a preliminary ruling that paves the way for the $2 billion sale of the team.

Judge Michael Levanas handed down an "oral tentative statement decision" that affirmed Shelly Sterling had the authority to reach an agreement in May to sell the team to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, who has set an Aug. 15 deadline to complete the deal. The judge said he would review objections before issuing a written ruling.

"We are pleased that the court has affirmed Shelly Sterling's right to sell the Los Angeles Clippers to Steve Ballmer," said Mike Bass, the NBA executive vice president, communications. " We look forward to the transaction closing as soon as possible."

Even if Donald Sterling continues to fight, included in the judge's ruling is a key provision in California trust law that allows Shelly Sterling to proceed with the sale of the team "as if no appeal were pending," according to provision 1310(b).

"Rochelle's testimony was far and away more credible than Donald," Levanas said. "Donald's answers were often evasive and, in one instance, were inconsistent with his previous testimony."

After plenty of animated testimony in the weeks-long case, Levanas said the evidence showed that Shelly followed provisions of the Sterling Family Trust in having Donald examined by two doctors – who both found he was mentally incapacitated – and subsequently removed as co-trustee; that she has the authority to complete the sale of the team even though Donald revoked the trust June 9; and that the matter was urgent.

The probate court decision also could resolve potential controversy, with members of the Clippers talking about a potential boycott and coach Doc Rivers considering stepping down if Donald Sterling remains owner when the 2014-15 season starts in October.

Donald Sterling has two other suits pending in the matter — one contending his wife and Ballmer violated corporate law and the other seeking more than $1 billion in damages from the NBA.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said the league would move to strip the Sterlings' ownership if the sale was not final by Sept. 15. Silver banned Donald Sterling from the league for life and fined him $2.5 million in April after an audio recording of racist comments by Sterling were leaked to TMZ.com.

Lawyers for the two sides sparred while presenting closing arguments. Hammering the theme that Donald was defrauded when Shelly had him removed as a trustee, attorney Max Blecher said, "The petitioner's hands are not unclear, they're filthy ... Damn the trust agreement. She was his wife, she was his co-trustee and she had an obligation...to be completely candid with him.''

Pierce O'Donnell, one of Shelly's attorneys, fired back: "Donald Sterling was properly removed and this scheme that Mr. Blecher talks about, that he concocts, when looked at objectively, the facts show Shelly Sterling scrupulously followed the (trust) that Donald Sterling agreed to.''
