Whatever Happened to "SÃ* se puede"?

    By John W. Lillpop

Remember the days when the streets of Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, and LA were taken over by hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens marching and, of all things, DEMANDING that they be given citizenship? In Spanish?

Illegals were supported by moon bats who argued that these impoverished peasants risked life and limb to travel across a hot, inhospitable desert just to come to America and clean our toilets, mop our floors, mow our lawns, and wash our cars!

For such uncommon acts of sacrifice, we the people were expected to receive the millions of invaders with open arms, and, more importantly, open wallets. (Illegal aliens cost American taxpayers more than $100 billion a year.)

Advocates for illegals always fail to point out that invaders have a cultural tendency to drive while drunk, to steal public services to which they are not entitled, to commit heinous crimes, to speak a foreign language, and generally muck up the greatest nation on earth.

But back to SÃ* se puede, the battle cry for those poor, lost souls stashed away in the shadows, coming out only to march and riot on the 5th of May and other non-American holidays when sufficient beer is available.

Apparently, SÃ* se puede is no longer an operative term among the grape pickers and bottle washers who have invaded our land.

For example, according to reports, only 50,000 illegal aliens took to the streets in Los Angeles to ring in May Day, 2010.

Just 50,000? This was supposed to be “THEâ€

We shouldn't be laughing, estimates of Houston's last Mayday rally were
between 7,000 and 10,000 illegals and their supporters, our side had a
    pitiful 50 people show up.

Those guys get bolder every year. With re-examining the Anchor Baby law
and more states waiting to file SB1070 style laws as soon as our gubment
gets back from the holidays. I'm sure the DREAM Act will get shot down
a couple more times by May 1st. We're sure to see a lot of "Si se puede"
    by Mayday.

I wonder how much "no you can't" we"ll get.

If the race card is the only card in your hand, you're not playing with a full deck.

There is a reason. Illegal supporters get the day off and many times are paid for that day. Their bosses are themselves illegal or their employers support illegals. They encourage participation in the fight to preserve illegal entry into our country. But supporters of ending illegal immigration don't get the day off and certainly don't get paid if they take the day off. That is the difference. But the tide is turning....little by little. Soon "Si se puede" will transform into "Yes we can"....and it will be our motto, not theirs.

That's true. And also some of the large meat packing plants, though not owned by illegals, support illegals as a source of cheap labor. They encourage their employees to go to those protests, and in some cases even pay them for the time they are at the protest.
