What's next for Minutemen after April?

Has anyone heard of any further plans for the Minutemen after the April vigil? I am looking for any information that indicates what the next step will be. Do Gil or Chris have any intentions of duplicating their efforts in other states? I live in TX and would love to be involved in a volunteer effort - and there's no sense in re-inventing the wheel, so to speak - once the Minuteman Project proves it's viability in April.

Is there anyone from TX that has any thoughts on a similar effort along our extensive borders?

I guess I'm making an assumption that our government will continue to turn a blind eye to the illegals and that the citizen patrol may have to turn into a long-term solution - at least longer than April. In the face of our governments' abdication of it's rightful obligations, I would like to volunteer to protect help protect my state.

Last question: can anyone point me in the direction of a group that is trying to overturn their cities' "sanctuary" laws? Can it be done?

    Heidi,

You asked me this question in another thread .. I don't know but refer to this thread about a similar event in CA.

    http://www.alipac.us/ftopict-1048-.html

There was a mention of someone considering it in Texas but I can't locate that now.

If and when I do, I'll post back to you.

    Thanks Watchman.

Yes, I posted a similar question in a reply to you in the News section. I expanded on it and posted in General, just in case there were folks that didn't read both.

I'll check out the CA thing, and if/when you find any TX info - I'd greatly appreciate the tip.

    Thanks!

Yes, when something gets organized for Texas, I'd like to be included.

Well one things for sure: We can't count on that Smirking-Chimpanzee who hoodwinked his way back into the white house to help any Legal Americans.

I think we can safely assume that his latest meeting with the Mexican Fox was to collaborate how they would bring down the minuteman project, and the rest of us into line, without any defense from His Washington.

I also think we can safely assume that we've been invaded, and they could never have pulled it off with the help of the Greatest American Traitors Like Bush, and many other money grubbing Politicos in office today.

Amazing how the man can justify sending our people to die for Iraqi’s, but refuse to expend one word or soldier to protect US & the homeland from an enemy much closer.

What a sorry and disgusting disappointment Bush has turned out to be.

I'm not sure what's next for these front line warriors, or anyone else

As for your second question, I don’t have an answer at this time, but I’ll do some research, and if I come up with anything, I’ll post it right away.

I believe i made reference to a possible op in TX, but I have no solid fact.

Keep in mind folks, I have sifted through over 4500 messages from/to MMP members over the last 2 months. There has been a heck of a large hulla baloo over this. There was quite a lot of chatter about NM and TX ops. NOTE there are many MMP members from TX, so there is already a vast "network" of likeminded people, who "could" do something. Whether anything comes from this chatter, I can not say.

When I have received "verified" information from MMP, I have passed it along here. The "information" I posted about a possible TX extension, was not a verified message, but was simply a little "personal" information posted inside some other post (and it might have even been a PM to WM, I simply do not remember at this time).

This being the case, please take it with a grain of salt, until there is some "official" notification of an event. Right now, it as a possible rumor, of a non-firm best guess, picked up from gossip and chatter

Husker, thanks for the reply. Did you happen to have a link to that reference/tidbit of info?

Husker's in Arizona with the MMP. Try a Google search, Heidi .. for MMP, Texas - something like that. The original article I mentioned I read on FR. It was from some obscure publication like Texas Tumbleweed or something like that. I will place this on my long list of "things to do" and see if I can't relocate it but no luck so far. I looked on FR but maybe I wasn't using the right keyword to search. If the post hasn't been pulled, you'll find it on FR posted about a month ago. A short article about a man considering a similar operation in Texas. Bet you'll find it before I do.

I'm new here so, excuse my ignorance. I didn't see anything here that says Arizona Minuteman Project. I'm from North Texas and assumed this project would grow like wildfire, turning the thousand-person effort into a million-person effort, uniting all the border states. It's not as effective to divide efforts by state or anything else. Targets? Yes. Division? No.

I liken this effort to the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth effort which united all 26 million veterans into a single force to defeat Silky Poodle. How effective was that?

This effort will grow in proportion to the penetration of information exposing problems with illegal aliens and the threat to our economy and our national security. I'd like to see this thing consume not only the border states but our seaports and airports as well.

Thanks again watchman. I've googled this thing to death and have so far only found references to the CURRENT op in AZ. However, there are PLENTY of Texans involved in MMP and it's my theory that some of them will come back in May and start up something. I'm watching it closely so that I can jump on the bandwagon when that time comes.

I'll cruise thru FR and see if I can't find a reference during the past month or so. I'm glad you mentioned a window of time to search, or I probably wouldn't have tackled the FR search - too immeanse and I wasn't really sure what to look for.
