North Carolina remittance tax?
Could North Carolina put a remittance tax on the transfer of money out of the country? Tom Tancredo proposed this then quickly retracted the idea.
You know a tax on any immigrants who are legal or illegal being paid under the table and tax free. When they go to Western Union and or Moneygram etc a tax of say %2 must be paid on the amount sent. I am totally in favor of this although it would be unfair to my wife who is legal and our money is sent after we pay tax! Why not? We pay all kinds of taxes already. The government should get a cut if ILLEGALS are being paid in cash as they leach off our social services......Why not a state law for you folks in North Carolina? The banks and Western Union will not like it but too bad! It is a GOOD IDEA!

Jack, NC will put a tax on anything & then tax the tax! But the legislature here works for employers who use illegals. They won't do anything to rock the boat.

I think you have an excellent idea, Jack. That would really bring in a TON of revenue in North Carolina. Oh well--they'll tax US, the LEGAL citizens, to death but God forbid that they tax that cheap labor force.
