Thread: White House Withdraws Call for Students to 'Help' Obama

I don't buy this crap for one second!!! Everyone should know that the teachers are going to push Obama's dictatorship to our kids!!

The Obama administration is rethinking its course recommendations for students ahead of President Obama's address to the the nation's schoolchildren next week, rewriting its suggestions to teachers for student assignments on how to "help the president."

White House aides said the language was supposed to be an inspirational, pro-education message to America's youths, but its unintended consequences were evident.

Among the activities initially suggested for pre-K to 6th grade students was to "write letters to themselves about what they can do to help the president."

Another assignment for students after hearing the speech was to discuss what "the president wants us to do."

The suggestion about writing letters has since been changed to: "Write letters to themselves about how they can achieve their short-term and long-term education goals. These would be collected and redistributed at an appropriate later date by the teacher to make students accountable to their goals."

White House spokesman Tommy Vietor said the changes to the language are intended to make the lesson plans clearer. He added that the speech is not a policy speech, but is intended to encourage kids to work hard and commit to school.

The speech is "about the value of education and the importance of staying in school as part of his effort to dramatically cut the dropout rate," Vietor said.

The Washington Times was first to report. Thursday that the plan was being reconsidered. Presidential aides also acknowledged to the newspaper that they helped the U.S. Education Department write the suggested assignments, which stirred criticism by many who say Obama is trying to indoctrinate the education system.

Teachers are a HUGE part of our nations problem. They push their political agenda on kids who they know are very naive about the world...

There must be laws passed about teachers indoctrinating kids into their personal political idealisms...

Parents must object to this propoganda before it's too late.

Oh, it's on, and here's what I found out.
The schools in Maine just got the email this morning about the Tuesday 11:00 EST (or was it 12:00???) live feed of the President starting his Political Propaganda.

There is no school Friday so people have until today to call your schools.
See if they are piping in Obama's political propaganda on Tuesday, with a worksheet.
Remember Monday is a holiday. So you have today and tomorrow only.
He wants to recruit your kids for his AmeriCorps Program. A Personal Army Of Obama's.
He has fool some of you and you are adults! You have the ability to speak up and do research.
Your children are in harms way......

Call about it.
Go to the school Tuesday at 11:00.
Keep your kids out of school that day.
Send a message that they are not to see it.

I called the Superintendent of my areas schools and didn't like any of her choices. One was to let the KIDS opt out if they didn't want to see it!
Of course they want to see the President Real-Time!!!

I knew it would be 11 or 12 to account for CA time zone.
She was a nice lady and listened to me and YOU KNOW I was blunt. I didn't swear though!
I managed to fit in Hitler too!

At the end I told her, "I always wondered how Hitler did it and I am now in a country with MUCH smarter people than me that are sucked in and they are LETTING THIS HAPPEN!!! I never thought I would be able to watch it happen here.....
I am now a part of the demise of America and all it's wonderfulness.
I told her it was Political Propaganda to our children that a very evil administration. He is getting into their heads.

I made her promise that she would take the vacation, Thurdsay thru Tuesday morning, to research what other states and towns are doing and to see the uproar and MAKE IT THE PARENTS CHOICE NOT THE CHILDS!!!.

Well I am listing to Glenn right now and he said he has a video form Utah schools of a video from the pres that have been making people mad!!
