• Many issues to resolve before accepting refugees

Your Oct. 1 editorial agreeing with the proposed bringing of large numbers of migrants from Europe misses many issues that should be resolved before any migrant is allowed into this country.
First, is there any way to screen out those who are ISIS plants determined to cause trouble in the future?
Second, what will be the cost to bring these migrants into this country? They are eligible for welfare and other benefits as soon as they land here. Would it not be better to insure that the care for our veterans comes first?
Third, according to the Americans for Legal Immigration PAC and other websites, there have been large protests in Germany opposing the large number of migrants, especially when they are given preference in housing. According to the website Infidels Are Cool, it is Islamic philosophy that they eventually intend to dominate both Europe and the U.S. Remember that the Boston Marathon bombers were Muslim immigrants welcomed into the USA.
When there are differences in opinion, responsible newspapers have an obligation to present both sides of an issue. Is the Cape Cod Times open to differences in opinion?
