    Impact of floods in Mexico

In the aftermath of the flooding, Calderon announced that the entire state of Tabasco would have free electricity until February to help alleviate their problems. He will have to find a lot more aid to resolve the flood victim's problems. The rushing water damaged the homes of almost a million people, or about half of Tabasco's population. It also devastated crops of corn, bananas and beans that provide the livelihood for thousands. After water levels finally started receding this week, Jesus Hilario left his shelter in a schoolhouse on the outskirts of Villahermosa to find his patches of corn and bananas completely washed away. "I could be forced go and work in El Norte," Hilario said, referring to the United States, where 11 million of his countrymen labor. "Now I have nothing to live on here." With reporting by Dolly MascareÃ?as/Mexico City

Borders should be strenghtened NOW, we cannot absorb more unskilled aliens! I feel bad for the ones who lost everything in the floods, but we have enough problems with our own floods/fires & natural disasters.

If Mexico cannot and will not take care of its own people, STOP SENDING THEM MONEY!!!

    Enforce the d**n LAWS!!!

I knew they would use this as an excuse to hop our borders. How many N.O.'s people go down to Mexico?

They didn't make it all the way to Mexico, they landed in Houston, TX.
Now we have to deal with N.O. welfare freeloaders who still want "FREE" housing. Just about every other crime has to do to with 1.) illegal alien 2.) N.O. evacuee!!!

There are other Mexican based newspapers, where people have stated that their plans are to come to the USA and work!

We got a lot of Katrina Victims here. They are brutal. They murder without a thought. Recently they murdered some of their own, so they could not testify against them in court.

A lot of crime here is being committed by Kartina folk.

Mexico is a big country. Floods happen everywhere. Many Americans have been in the same predicament. THE FLOODS IN MEXICO ARE NO REASON FOR MEXICANS TO HOP OVER OUR BORDER. STAY HOME WHERE YOU BELONG AND REBUILD.

The Mexican Government needs to take responsiblity and take care of their people. Regardless of what Bush says it is not our responsibility to take care of them. What makes Bush and the Mexicans think we want any of this responsibility. I do not want to take care of the Mexican Government because they do not want to take responsibility for there own nation. I do not want my tax payers dollars taking care of the them. I do not think that anyone has any right to take my money and decide what to do with it.
There is really something wrong and we know there is something terribly wrong with our elected officals, that they would make us pay for a society who does not want to become legal, thinks we owe them everything and can kill, steal, drive drunk, not speak english and turn us into third world.
I am sick of us as a nation being forced to take care of another nation that will never help itself if it does not have to.
We sit back and watch this bull happening everyday. We sit back and watch this the United States being ripped apart while the Mexicans continue to do their dirty work to our country.
Our government does not have any pride or integrity any longer.

What are we going to do if Bush attempts to gives illegals that originally migrated from those areas refuge status in the U.S.? OMG, could you even start to imagine the potential for fraud.
