It means that the DREAM Act still needs 60 votes to pass. We still need 60 senators to say yes when it comes time for the bill to be attached to the defense bill.

We need calls right now. We need to flood offices with calls in support of the DREAM Act. Currently we are being beat by anti-immigrants 10 calls to 1. That means for every 1 call you make in support 10 people are calling against the DREAM Act.

Alert! Senator Reid to offer DREAM Amnesty as amendment to Defense bill!

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid announced at a press conference that he plans to add the DREAM Act amnesty bill as an amendment to the defense bill. It is not the first time amnesty proponents have tried this maneuver. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) tried this plan in 2007, but the amendment was rejected.

While the DREAM amnesty supporters try to portray the legislation as helping a small number of students, it would actually allow about 2 million people to qualify for amnesty. Then they, because of chain migration, could petition for their parents and adult siblings to gain legal status, resulting in additional millions straining our resources.

It will also give citizenship and (expensive) in state tuition to 2 million illegals who won't join the military, many of them will be out protesting against the military!!

These are the GOP Senate offices that the Dream Act amnesty proponents just visited. Please include them in your calls, especially Sen. LeMieux (Florida):

"While today’s immigration forum ended in a GOP pray-in (faith leaders literally went to the offices of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Sens. John McCain (R-AZ), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and George LeMieux (R-FL) and pray for reform), only time will tell whether Sen. Reid can conjure the 60 votes necessary for cloture on the DREAM Act amendment next week."
