The strings Pelosi is tying around E-Verify would cause the program to self-destruct if Congress at any point in the future fails to provide enough funds for the Department of Homeland Security to fully compensate the Social Security Administration for checking on job applicants.

We have to demand they take the "strings" off of the e-verify program and make it good for the next 10 years

Decent E-Verify Agreement Reached in U.S. House of Representatives
Mostly good news to report this evening from multiple sources in the U.S. House -- negotiators have agreed to a 5-year re-authorization of the E-Verify program to keep illegal aliens out of U.S. jobs and without the strings attached that had threatened to strangle it in future years.

There are several indicators that many Members of Congress in both Parties really listened to you the citizens through your hundreds of thousands of faxes and phone calls this past week.

Look for your lastest Fax from them....Darn could have slept in a while longer Oh well good news anyway!
