Can AFL-CIO Members Voice Opposition to Amnesty?
Just went to the AFL-CIO site, to learn what rank and file members think about their union endorsing amnesty. Couldn't see any way for members to communicate on-line with their leadership.
Does anyone know how or if the rank and file members can communicate with union leadership?

Are you asking for the official union way---or the REAL way to get through to them?
In our union we are supposed to be able to bring up issues to our delegates, who will then raise them at the national meetings. That's part of representational democracy. But I have never tracked this to see how it works in practice. Our union usually picks a location where gambling, prostitutes or other vices are readily available so I don't know how much actually gets carried to the table. Also a lot of delegates just want to go with the flow and say yes to everything the Big Labor Bosses want--I suppose in hopes of moving up the ladder.
So if that approach doesn't work I suggest visiting them in person and don't let them get out of sight of your angry stare.. Nobody ever said the really ethical people get into the high salary union boss jobs. I think a good ten years in the federal pen would help most of them."Men of low degree are vanity, Men of high degree are a lie. " David

OK Captain, looks like I'm out of luck.
I'm continually surprised at how few people are willing to say Americans first. As the product of a blue collar neighborhood, I'm sympathetic to the need to increase dues revenue, but it'd be so easy to get the structurally unemployed into a vocational ed program. Then the new dues revenue would come from Americans.
So far all the reports I've seen talk about unions and proIllegals coming together. Not a peep out of the union bosses re getting our own people into a union.
I really don't understand that.
