HOUSTON - Limes, avocados, and mangos -- that wasn’t the only cargo in an 18-wheeler pulled over by a deputy.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, $2.5 million in marijuana was also found inside the truck. The drugs weighed in at more than 2,300 pounds.

A deputy constable came upon the truck when it broke down Wednesday evening on Highway 59 near Northpark.

A search was conducted and the pot was found about halfway in the back of the truck.

The street value of the marijuana is about $500 per pound.

The truck driver was taken in for questioning and will be charged.
