18 arrested at Immigration raid at Loveland’s Colorado Precast

Eighteen people were arrested today as suspected illegal immigrants at Loveland’s Colorado Precast.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement began executing a search warrant at 9 a.m. this morning at the business, 1820 E. Colo. Highway 402, special agent Mike Masto said while on scene.

Agents were seen arresting employees and placing them in buses that left the business at 11:40 a.m.

ICE spokesman Carl Rusnok confirmed 18 people were under administrative arrest and would be processed for deporation, though he wouldn’t say to what country.

Masto said Colorado Precast is the only site being investigated connected to a tip his office received about suspected illegal immigrants at the business, which manufactures a variety of concrete products, such as highway barriers, manholes and storm-drain inlets.

Approximately 100 people work at Colorado Precast.

A Colorado Precast employee indicated that the company would not make a comment about the raid until Thursday.

She said the company was talking with the families of the people arrested
