ALIPAC Boycott against Miller Brewing Working
September 25, 2006 02:36 PM EST
By Sher Zieve – A boycott coalition between ALIPAC (Americans for Legal Immigration) and FIRE (Federal Immigration Reform Enforcement) against Miller Brewing Company is said to be working. In a 25 September Miller Boycott Coalition press release, it was announced: “Dow Jones Newswires announced a collapse in SABMiller's stock value and beer sales in America!”
The boycott against Miller began when it was discovered that Miller Brewing had donated $30,000 to pro-amnesty illegal immigration groups and that it gives large sums of money to race-based organizations, including the controversial Mexican group La Raza (“The Race”). The 2 coalition directors, ALIPAC’s William Gheen and FIRE’s Jason Mrochek announced that Phase II of the boycott has begun.
Gheen commented: “We are sending word to our extensive network today for citizen activists to begin spreading the word about the boycott using our online resources, such as bumper stickers, fliers, and e-mail templates. We also hope to expand our list of supporting organizations up towards 150 groups!"
Mrochek followed with: "Shortly after the November elections, we plan to launch protests outside of their [Miller’s] facilities coast to coast. It is important for the communities close to these plants and the workers in these plants to know about our boycott that Miller Brewing supports illegal immigration."
