Anti-Illegal Immigration Activists Hold Downtown Rally

    2:44 p.m. June 18, 2006

SAN DIEGO – About 50 anti-illegal immigration activists, including some motorcycle riders on a trip to the nation's capital, held a rally at the County Administration building Sunday.
Susie Hawkes, a San Bernardino resident with SanDiegoBorderAlert who helped organize the rally for the 21st Century Paul Revere Ride, had expected about 400 people to show up for the 11 a.m. event.
But the crowd was small, and the protest uneventful, San Diego police Sgt. Joe Molinoski said. The rally broke up about 2:15 p.m., he said.
Jim Gilchrist of the Minuteman Project; state Sen. Bill Morrow, R-San Juan Capistrano; Ted Hayes of the Crispus Attucks Brigade and Frosty Wooldridge of the Wake Up America Foundation were expected at the rally.

The next stop for the bikers is Phoenix.

The ride started in Denver and will go through all 48 of the lower United States before arriving in Washington D.C. on Aug. 12. The idea is to draw attention to what the group calls an “invasion of illegal immigrants.”

On Tuesday, federal agents wrapped up a nationwide operation aimed at deporting an estimated 590,000 illegal immigrants convicted of felonies. About 400 people were rounded up in San Diego, more than any other city

It is okay that there are not so many people , this is just the beginning and each of these people is worth a thousand of illegals because each of them can hold the president responsible . There are no small people and small numbers in this case .
This is a very good sign
Americans are more relaxed and peaceful , they did not do rallies , demonstrations etc for a long time / Mexicans are much more experienced and organized here , as well as other countries /

So , then even 50 Americans come out in the streets to show their protest - this is a very very positive sign !
