First up: community meetings at churches in 17 cities, with the first set for Friday in Providence, R.I.

I think it would be more "biblical and moral" for potential emigres to save the money they would pay to a coyote, buy the tools of a trade and pool with others if necessary, and develop an enterprise in their home country. Isn't it foolish to risk life and limb going thousands of miles from home? The Latin American countries are not so poor that that wouldn't be feasible; it isn't like Africa where people live on a dollar a day and there is no market for anything higher-end. Latin America has a moderately developed economy, yet low enough prices to make capital investment possible.
